Take Battle Communication to the Next Level! (Reworked Comms System)

The current in-battle communication system in World of Tanks hasn’t undergone a change in years. Some options are a bit limited and, at times, incapable of helping teammates communicate or share plans and tactics in battle effectively.

At the same time, the existing notification system often sends information without context. For example, a lot of player feedback has mentioned how minimap pings can have a variety of meanings. They often create a mess of unclear information that confuses allies.

After studying your suggestions, we decided to rework and improve the existing in-battle communication system to make it clearer, more informative, and more efficient. Here’s how it will work.

A Single Key for All Actions

Now you can use the “T” key in almost all battle communications. It may be used to interact with the terrain, teammates, enemies, bases, and existing communication markers. Tap this key to immediately send a ping to your teammates. Hold the key to display a ping wheel with more options. Work with allies, flank enemies, call off attacks, and hone your team’s tactics!

Update 1.10: first public test

If everything goes according to plan, the first public test of update 1.10 (formerly 1.9.2) will start tomorrow. In the patch, we can expect news that have been running through the Supertest server in recent months, including probably the Pearl River map. Changes in the upcoming patch:

-A branch of Polish medium tanks has been added;
-Redesign of the Pearl River map to HD quality;
-The following maps were redesigned: Prokhorovka, Ruinberg and Cliff;
-Buff of the following tanks:
USSR: IS-4, ST-I, KV-4, KV-3;
USA: T110E5, M103, T32;
Germany: E 100, E75, Tiger II, Tiger I, VK 36.01 (H);
Nerf of the following tanks:
Italy: Progetto M40 mod. 65, Prototipo Standard B;
USSR: Object 430U, Object 430;
-Addition of special and premium tanks for testing by Supertest players;
-Steel Hunter mode added;
-New personalization elements.

The patch 1.10 release is planned for August.

July 9 Micropatch – patchnotes

EU: The World of Tanks servers will be unavailable on 09.07.2020 from 06:00 – 07:15 CEST due to this update. In this micropatch:

-Minor personalization improvements have been made;
-The content of Ranked Battles 2020-2021 has been added;
-Added content of Act 4;
-Some technical issues have been fixed;
-Two new folders will be created for modifications: /mods/1.9.1.2/ and ./res_mods/1.9.1.2/.

ASIA: Please be informed that the World of Tanks Asia periphery servers will be down for maintenance on 09 July, 2020 from 05:00 to 06:10 UTC+8 to deploy micropatch 1.9.1_4. The game and clan portal will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

New Twitch Prime Package Coming Tomorrow

A small sneak peek of the July Twitch package.

The new set will consist of:
