Thanks to your feedback, we’ve reworked the progression system and introduced several other changes that we’ll now discuss in greater detail.

This time, the ultimate reward for all three Seasons is the brand-new Concept 1B Tier IX American heavy tank, which is exclusive to Ranked Battles. Prove your worth over three Seasons to add this formidable brawler to your Garage!

Revamped Progression System

For the first Season of Ranked Battles 2020-2021, the progression system will be simpler and more achievable. The number of ranks in all Divisions will be reduced from 15 to 10. The number of chevrons you need to earn to move from one rank to another will also be reduced. This will make progressing in the mode simpler, quicker, and more achievable.

WoWS ST 0.9.7, Kitakami

Please note that all information in the development blog is preliminary and subject to change during testing. Any showcased features may or may not end up on the main server.

In Update 0.9.7, Japanese Tier X cruiser Kitakami will enter the test.

Kitakami is an unusual cruiser, with her main armament consisting of 5 quadruple torpedo launchers on each side. These torpedoes can travel up to 15 km at a speed of 57 knots and deal up to 15,633 damage. Because of her relatively fragile armor, weak AA defense, and low HP pool, Kitakami has to rely on her low basic detectability – 10.6 km – and her special Smoke Generator, which has a low smoke duration time but a large number of charges. The main gameplay of the cruiser revolves around stealthy attacks using a large number of torpedoes from a safe distance. To balance Kitakami’s efficiency in the control of straights and flanks, she will only have access to narrow and “super narrow” torpedo spreads.

WoWS ST 0.9.7, Unique Upgrades

Please note that all information in the development blog is preliminary and subject to change during testing. Any showcased features may or may not end up on the main server.

We continue to work on Unique Upgrades (UU) and now we’re ready to share some changes to the existing UUs and some new ones.

Updating current upgrades:

X Z-52, Slot 5

Current upgrade

  • -5% ship’s detectability
  • -15% torpedo tubes reload time
  • Added bonus lowering torpedo detectability by 10%.

The UU will strengthen X Z-52 as a torpedo boat, while lowering her efficiency on key areas due to a smaller bonus to detectability in comparison to the standard concealment upgrade.

X Grozovoi, Slot 6

Operation Priority 2020 Update – Complete Resource on the Renault FT

Operation Priority is a series of books that document the history, strategy, and technical aspects of the Renault FT. The goal of Operation Priority is to document Renault FT variants and their true historical significance. All variants are planned to be recovered, and no Renault FT shall be left behind. The series goes over the history of conflict in the early twentieth century based on the technological development of the Renault FT. All Renault FT variants tell a story and are intertwined with history whether it be in the nations they operated with or the ideas the tank pioneered.

The site has seen plenty of upgrades over the past 3 years, including a section of colorized pictures of the FT variants. Also, all the FT variants in the world are now covered. Check it out here:
