WoT: New Trade-In Coming Soon
The new edition of the trade-in should arrive early next year, between January 18 and February 1, with no major changes, according to Russian sources.
Wargaming sold Melsoft
Wargaming sold Melsoft, its mobile game development studio. According to media estimates, for hundreds of millions of dollars.
Israeli developer and publisher Moon Active, who is best known for Coin Master, announced the purchase of Melsoft Games (famous games: Family Island and MyCafe [My Coffee Shop]).
How much did the studio cost is not specified. But we can talk about at least several hundred million dollars. Considering that:
• this year alone, Melsoft’s revenue was $160 million (VentureBeat estimate);
• over the course of the year, the studio’s revenue grew rapidly from month to month – according to AppMagic, the studio earned $3 million on IAP (a service for purchasing virtual goods within the application) in January and already $10 million in October).
Melsoft could have cost around $500 million. But, most likely, the price was higher. And Moon Active could afford it. Only on IAP and excluding the share of Coin Master, last year it earned around $70-80 million per month.
“Moon Active will continue to expand its family with the most talented teams through strategic acquisitions. Today we are looking for companies that create the right products and at the same time share our culture and values. We were lucky to find Melsoft. We are proud that they have chosen us as their partners.”
commented Samuel Albin, CEO of Moon Active.
Minsk game development studio Melsoft Games was founded in 2007 by Alexey Meleshkevich. It developed 35+ games, including Farm Frenzy.
In 2015, it entered into a “strategic partnership” with Wargaming. After the deal, Melsoft changed its top management and a new product leader appeared – the coffee shop simulator My Cafe, the main source of the company’s income.
Melsoft is now officially based in Cyprus. It employs about 240 people, most of them work in Belarus. The studio recently integrated into Easy Team, the developer of Family Island.
Moon Active is an Israeli company with a large division in Kiev and an office in London. More than 650 employees work in it. The main project of the company is Coin Master, a slots game.
Purecycle’s Czechoslovakian Tech Tree – Part 1
Written by Purecycle for TAP:
I accept this challenge. (Also that 5/10 was a reference to TTS where Rogal Dorn made his review on the Codex Astartes, so bring me those laborers. Anyways…)
Introduction
Hello, it is I Purecycle, the mysterious shitposter who only appears when the tide goes out and there’s a blue moon.
Some of you may know me as the guy who hates Wargaming’s design choices when it comes to implementing content for World of Tanks. And I’ve said in the past that I’ll never post my content and info simply because I was, (And still am.) disappointed that Wargaming has no interest in Implementing new Tech Trees for World of Tanks. Because no other nation is as glorious as the Soviet Union because they’re the masters of tank warfare.
But… With the most recent hint that Czechoslovakia will be getting its 2nd line after 6 years of blue balls, where Wargaming constantly stated that there weren’t enough tanks to make at least one new line. (But apparently it’s okay to make half of the British and American tanks premiums, killing off future lines and content, such as the American Heavium line and the British Auto-loading line. To name a few of the fallen…)
So I’ve dug up my old Czechoslovakian tech tree and found its original file after thinking it was lost. And me being curious, I’ve scoured the web to look and see if anyone had any updated info on Czechoslovakia’s tank development and if anyone had made tech trees of their own based on that info. And I found that a lot of work has been done and after putting my info and theirs together…
I’ve created this…

WoWS: Public Test of Update 0.10.0: Round 2
Source: EU Portal
Captains, welcome to the Public Test of Update 0.10.0!
Updates to the Commander skill system, Brawls, and other new features. Take a look through the Developer Bulletin, and welcome to the Test!
Round 2 Schedule
Commanders, thank you for participating in the Public Test of Update 0.10.0! Your feedback helps us improve the Update and fix errors. Check out the changelog and join the second session of the Public Test!
Updated Commander Skills
- Bots are turned off for Random Battles in the Public Test. Battles with players only will allow us to get more precise data on updated Commander skills.
- Many of you voiced your concerns about the builds focused on the secondary battery and their efficiency in the new system. We’d like to comment on these concerns: we don’t plan to lower the efficiency of such builds in comparison to Update 0.9.12 and we’ll carefully monitor it. Please keep in mind that the data from the Public Test isn’t enough to make a decision about increasing the efficiency of these builds before the release due to the following reasons:
- There were bots in Random Battles, so the data was distorted.
- The announced extension of the secondary batteries’ ranges will appear only at the second stage.
- We will get back to this question after the second stage of the test, but the possibility that some secondary-focused ships might become too efficient and will need balance changes after the release stops us from making secondary-focused builds stronger before the release. If secondary builds lose their efficiency on the main server, we’ll boost it. Keep in mind that, with the update to Commander skills, builds like these also received some improvements for their main battery, which improves the ship’s overall efficiency.

WoT: make extra credits using Missions from Chuck
When you complete Chuck’s missions, you get discounts for regular vehicles for tiers 2-10. And with such discounts you can get a small bonus in credits by selling the tanks.
Discounts apply to any regular tanks, except collectible ones.
Discounts from tiers 2 to 6 can be obtained for completing 15 Chuck tasks during the 2021 New Year’s event. The rest of the discounts from tiers 7 to 10 are better to put on the tanks that you will really research and buy in the future.
Now, from tiers 2 to 6, if you have researched these tanks, and they are not in the garage, you can get a small profit:
• M14 / 41 (Italy, MT-2): the price of the tank is 4100, 100% discount – the profit when selling is 2050
• M15 / 42 (Italy, MT-3): tank price is 45400, 100% discount – profit when selling is 22700
• B1 ( France, HT-4): tank price 185000, 100% discount – profit when selling is 92500
• T1 Heavy Tank (USA, HT-5): tank price 435000, 80% discount – profit on sale is 130500
• OI (Japan, HT-6): tank price 950000, 60% discount – profit on sale is 95000
Total maximum possible profit – 342750 credits
- This amount of credits can only be obtained with these tanks. With others, the profit will be smaller.
** It is better to sell vehicles immediately after purchase or sell them at any time, except for when there are general discounts on researched vehicles!
Upcoming Top of the Tree Tanks
The Japanese STB-1 and French AMX 13 105 will be top of the tree in January and February.
January 5, 2021 to February 5, 2021: STB-1

WoT Console – Update 6.0 UI Problems
Players dislike the new UI for not being intuitive and the fact that artillery was buffed too much. WG Staff do not want to revert the update:
Quoting MyLateDroid102:
„I’ve lost all my crews that had more than 10 Perks, what’s the point of having tanks that have accelerated crew training for only to be limited by the amount of perks put into the game. Now I’ve only get to pick 10 Perks per commander. Gold is currently being used (unless you pick silver) for consumables and Ammo, The tech tree, good God the tech trees…
HUD makes it near impossible to know where enemies are due to them now having an awful spotting system, Snow Maps makes it near impossible to see where things are (White Outline. Really guys?).
This game is Armored Warfare 2.0, the only difference is that this game currently has a player base (Remember how quickly that game died).
I’m going to do my best to see if I can get a full refund on everything I’ve bought, either that or I’ll never touch this game, up until they fix this update.
I know being negative is frowned upon but unless WE (the player base) do something about this it’ll only continue.”
Quoting Tomatopaste43:
„[…]Taking away critical info in battle is treason at the highest level. I can’t see what I’m fighting before I engage I can’t see how good of a match I’m having and I can’t see what tank I just sniped in the heat of battle I can adapt but not if you gutt the core experience of this game.”
Quoting Maniac_xo:
”[…]Given the reaction from the community, I find it hard to believe a significant portion of the devs testing the update didn’t also have the same concerns. This meaning that 1. Their dissenting thoughts were squashed by leadership 2. They were afraid to speak out about it or 3 the entire team is just that out of touch. Number 3 seems like the least likely which to me says the leadership needs to pack up and go.”
Quoting man0rmachine:
[…]Then this update hit and I can’t be bothered to respec my dozens of crews, let alone play every day. When I do play, everything feels weird, like I’m wearing oven mitts and squinting through a narrow slit.[…]
