On Missouri Horrible XP Cost

Info from an insider.

The amount of free EXP you need to obtain Missouri would be enough to free your way to tier 9 Baltimore, given that you do the shortest path, skip all the module upgrades. Either fake or not, it’s a win-win for WG and a no-win for players, you should start praying super containers to drop more free exp than those useless signals. Number of Free exp may be different on some servers.

The ship currently does NOT have premium status despite being listed as premium, the only thing you can do with it is to be able to retrain your American captains without penalty.

“Crazy farm rate” is also a lie.

Seagal’s nationality in the future can be switched to Russian. I think it was a joke rather than a serious plan.

WoWS: Campaigns

Thanks to Vlad for translating!

Campaigns were added to the game. They will make the game processs more variable, acquaint new players with the game nuances and present challenges with rewards for experienced commanders.

A campaign consists of a set of missions which have to be completed one after another.
Each mission has normal tasks and key tasks which have to be completed in battle: key tasks are required to complete the mission and start the next one; normal tasks are required to collect tokens, which in turn are required to unlock key tasks.
A task can be completed multiple times, earning tokens for each completion;
There can be two tasks active at the same time on a normal and three on a premium account;
Completion of tasks is rewarded by intermediate rewards – signals, consumables, credits etc. These are rewarded once only.
The completion of the campaign yields one final reward. Campaigns can be temporary or permanent. The campaign functionality is unlocked at commander level 8. All signals rewarded for achieving level 8 and all subsequent level rewards are moved one level up with the addition of level 13.
After the release of 0.5.15, the players will have access to 2 campaigns:
– Permanent campaign “Science of Victory”. This campaign is aimed at the familiarization with the nuances of the game by new players and research of ships up to tier V. The usage of different armaments, playing the different classes, usage of equipment and captain development, fighting for capture points – all of these aspects are organized into uncomplicated tasks. The final reward of this campaign will be 7 days of premium account.
– Temporary campaign “Certificate of service”. This is not a lengthy, but a difficult campaign fought on ships of higher tiers. The tasks are aimed at personal skill, high effectiveness in battle, team play. The final reward will be the tier VI Japanese destroyer Shinonome with a 10pt captain.

WoWS Q&A – 10th November 2016

Ev1n, WG Staff:

Q: Will there also be a german premium DD (for crew training purposes) in the pipe soon™?
A: There will, but unfortunately not anytime soon. It got delayed by research and materials gathering. (Seb: read as leaks) If we have some room in the pipeline we might decide to do a variant clone of one of the tech-tree DDs, but we’d really like to avoid that.
Q: Maybe Ev1n could shed some light on this subject.:)

 …maybe they were afraid of having to much similar ships, so they opted for a prototype like you said?

A: You summoned me?

Shed some light on what? Why there’s a round bridge? That one I cannot answer off the top of my head – please put it in the Q&A thread and it might reach our engineering team that way. I’ll also try to remember that when i get face-time with them.

Generally though, the reasoning for why certain things might be different than in commonly available historical resources is the same as for German Battleships. There are bound to be some liberties taken with configurations to facilitate better gameplay or line progression, like predicted upgrades that would have conceivably happened (but didn’t, for example because Germany was losing the war :trollface: ), simply because purely historical configurations do not offer the necessary flexibility to fit into one line. We’ll shed some light on that closer to release.

Sub_Octavian:

Draken84

a couple of weeks back, you answered this question with the following

“The part you are talking about is included in the citadel because it was valuable initially (torpedo armament storage) and it is protected accordingly: 25 mm citadel deck you mentioned; 32 mm deck you cannot see in port viewer currently (it is bow internal deck); 152 mm belt (you can see a part of it behind anti-torpedo bulge; 102 mm transverse (in game 102 mm layer is a sum of several IRL bulkheads); It is located underwater and extremely hard to hit. Most part of damage to Warspite is bow/aft/casemate/superstructure, so this part does not play a vital role in ship in-game performance. On the other hand it is logical to be included in the citadel, remembering its initial function and armor (these are two main criteria).”

how is logical that a cold-storage compartment that contains nothing more threatening than what amounts to supplies for the galley is part of the citadel ? the magazines have a separate bulkhead of 150mm plate between it and the former torpedo magazines that these rooms are, it’s on the B9/11 one. i concur entirely that it used to be part of the citadel, but the ship we see in game several years past than the last refit of the Warspite that actually carried torpedoes.

It is logical because it corresponds to balancing and gameplay purposes. And it corresponds to our damage model design. After this prolonged discussion we researched Warspite performance more closely. There is no need to buff or change her, (while the change you are suggesting is a very small buff). Your request, unfortunately, cannot be fulfilled. Sorry.
