World of Tanks – Referral Program – Season 3

According to the dates found in the client, January 22, 2020 should mark the release of the third season of referral program. However please keep in mind the last time WG released the referral program few days earlier than announced. It is possible that WG will again not meet its originally planned deadlines.

2 new premium tanks will be added to the awards (one to a recruiter, another to a recruit), 2 new slots will be added and it will be possible to re-acquire unique rewards, including such necessary bonuses.

You should finish the season 2 referral program before season 3 hits.

Standard rules for the transition to a new season:

• The 3rd episode will last 120 days (4 months), until the middle of May 2020. Next, 2 new tanks will be added again.
• All Commanders will receive 2 new recruit slots.
The commander will get 2 more free invitations. Every four months you can invite 2 new recruits.
Unused invitations from a previous period are canceled.
• All progress made by recruits is saved (points)!
• You can finish the recruits contract and not choose a tank as a reward, then wait for a new season to hit, and when it releases, get the new tank.

WoT NA – Earn Rewards in January Tank Class Missions!

At World of Tanks, we have an education curriculum, with month-long classes in all vehicles (except SPGs). Here are the rules:

  • Remember to activate the missions for the tank class you want to play. Please see each tank class for its activation button — you can activate multiple missions. Successfully activated missions appear in the in-game client.
TANK CLASSES:

Light Tanks

Medium Tanks

Heavy Tanks

Tank Destroyers
  • All 101, 201, 301, and 401 missions are chained and must be completed by 03:20 PT | 05:20 CT | 06:20 ET the next game day (check the in-game client for exact remaining time); you earn rewards for each mission completed within that timeframe.
  • Once a mission is completed, the next one unlocks up to 401; complete 401, and you get 10K XP!

Now then, here’s how to get your diploma for a vehicle class:

  • Complete the 401 mission for a specific vehicle class 10 times.
  • You can only do this mission once per day, so it takes a minimum of 10 days to get your diploma for a vehicle class if you complete the 401 mission every day.
  • Simply finish the 401 mission for a vehicle class 10 times before the end of the month, and you get its diploma!

Play Your Tank Class Right Missions!

Data: WoT Server Population (EU/NA)

Data collected from Wotcharts.eu over the last ~500 days (Began June 2017) contains peak number of WOT players for EU and NA servers, per day. I averaged this data by month for comparison purposes to see how the WOT population is doing since a lot of people are always talking about how “WOT is dead” or “WOT is dying” etc.

The data speaks for itself. Both servers are remaining pretty constant with their population peaks, with roughly only a 10% decline year over year for both servers. I added trend lines for reference to show the slight decline in population.

Overall, I think it’s safe to say the game is not “dead” by any stretch of the imagination.

Thanks to Dakado24 (Wotcharts.Eu) for the data and Seb for a lot of things.

Enjoy.

MeatheadMilitia Retires

Quoting the man himself:

„Hey Wargamers,

I want to keep this short, but knowing me, this will be the longest thing I’ve ever written.

This is not the easiest thing for me to write either, but I wanted to address you all…or anyone who is willing to lend me their ears…actually, your eyes. Since this is text.

As you may or may not know, the Wargaming Emeryville, CA office relocated to Austin, TX a few months back and I didn’t make the journey with them and have been working from home ever since.

I have not been one to Kemp bush, so I will get right to it. An opportunity for me came up that I couldn’t turn down and after 5 years of being with Wargaming, I have decided to start a new adventure.

It has been an amazing journey working at Wargaming for those 5 years.

If not for you, the amazing community (Yes, even the folks who sent me hate mail and death threats), I would not have enjoyed being a part of this game and community during that time.

I have enjoyed all my interactions with you in-game, on the forums, in Discord, in TS, PMs, pigeon letters, and smoke signals.

Thank you for allowing me to be myself and not cringe (too hard) at the awkward videos, stuttering, and in person conversations.

I have met a lot of great people in this game, all from different walks of life, brought together by steel and explosions. Video Games are truly an amazing thing. Seriously, never forget that you’re playing a video game.

If you’re on tilt or having a bad game/day, get off WoT, go outside (I hear there are 4K graphics out there), get a coffee, sleep?…maybe.

To you Veterans – Do me a favor, instead of sending that angry and aggressive message to a player who did poorly, don’t. Teach them something. Send them a YouTube link on the tank or class they were playing, or just don’t say anything at all.

To you noobs – Do me a favor, Google is your best friend. Did you get a new tank, start a new tank class, or just new to the game? Do some research; there are plenty of guides and streamers out there with a wealth of knowledge. “How do I play WoT?” is such a complex question, and since this game is built around knowledge, spending time in a guide is just as important as spending time on the battlefield.

With that being said, you’ll still see me lurking about, praising the M3 Lee as an amazing TD, so don’t hesitate to say hello by message or by HEAT. Thank you again.

You’re in great hands.

GL HF <O (The proper way to salute)

Rollout,

MeatheadMilitia”

A sad day for WGNA. MeatheadMilitia was irreplaceable.
