Advent Calendar: Day 14

Commanders!

Here you go, the vehicle of the day is the M4A3E8 Thunderbolt VII! This vehicle was none other than the Sherman of the great Lieutenant Colonel Creighton Abrams, who gave his name to the American main battle tank being used today.

But let’s stay on target: this Tier VI medium tank is a real Jack of All Trades (see our guide)—very forgiving thanks to its extra armour, and quite dangerous with its precise, quick-firing gun and a crew with “Brothers in Arms”! Add it to your garage now, you have 24 hours.Important: The M4A3E8 Thunderbolt VII is part of our Advent Calendar! Therefore, you can purchase it through the bundle or directly in the game for 3,750.

Gendron Somua – tier II premium wheeled vehicle

It has a crew of two : a commander with extra roles and a driver. Technically, it is quite similar to light tanks of the same level: nimble, fast-firing and vulnerable. The differences lies in the handling and the driving style. It’s not easy to bring the Gendron-Somua to a complete standstill, because you have to damage more than half of its wheels. It is armed with a fast-firing 25 mm cannon without a magazine. To summarize, the Gendron Somua is a nimble vehicle capable of quickly taking key positions and harnessing the potential of its fast-firing weapon. The fate of this wheeled vehicle depends on the test results. Stay up to date and good luck on the battlefield!

Is QuickyBaby leaving WOT? – click bate

We got a real critique of WOT by QB just few days ago, now we get QB hitting a table after requesting changes from WG, while reminding them that Jingles already left and declaring he’s ashamed of being CC…

Ladies and fake Therealisneses, it’s time for your comments!

p.s. Yes I’m trolling, yes QB is not popular with Seb, yes I think this needs to be posted

Data: Christmas Box earning results compiled

200 boxes purchased (50 of each type – don’t think that matters) – here is the breakdown of what was obtained. I understand more data points would yield more accurate data, but this is what I have. You also get three decorations per box.

8x KV-220-2 (1500 gold each)
6x Turan (1700 gold each)
5x M4 imp (1750 gold each)
2x IS3A (12910 gold each)
1x LEFH (1500 gold each)
1x E25 (6700 gold each)
1x Defender (10950 gold each)
1x Skorpion G (10900 gold each)

62750 of raw gold.
122 Days of prem time.
4 Special styles/skins (Is7,Bat chat 25, T57 heavy, Grille 15)
10.3 million credits.
1 Special crew member

So, in total, if you consider the gold value of the tanks(86820 gold), plus the raw gold of 62750 yields a net profit of 149570 gold.

Since a day of prem time is 250 gold, this equals 112 * 250 = 30500 gold worth of prem time.

TOTAL gold = 62750+86820+30500= 180,070 gold.

So what do you get on average per box? (Doesn’t include crew members or special styles/skins)

900.35 gold (Includes average values of gaining a prem tank and premium time)
51500 credits

And no, I didn’t buy 200 boxes.

Enjoy.

Second Update: Santa brings you credits

As I wrote last year, you can get a nice amount of credits (if you’ve researched most nations, or even better if you are a Senior Technical Engineer) by buying and selling discounted tanks you don’t need. A wise reminder by QuickyBaby, you can keep some of these for the upcoming wheeled vehicles or unresearched tech trees. Last year TAP reader Quaksen, posted this list which gives us some idea about the possible profits.

Coming to the Supertest Soon: Minsk, Rebalanced

Greetings Tankers,

We will soon start the closed test for a new version of the Minsk map. The second iteration is smaller in size (900×900 meters) with the main area of action relocated.

The changes are intended to increase the importance of spotting and make play in the open part of the map more of engaging for mobile vehicles. There will also be a significant reduction in the number of destructible objects, meaning the space will be more open for the exchange of fire between players.

The Shorter distance will contribute to coordinated movements by the team in a unified direction, creating more tactical options, further adding more variety to battles. The city blocks on this stage of testing are far from being final with further adjustments based on test results.
