Main Changes
- Frontline (with multiple changes) has been launched in the test mode:
- Added changes to the player’s progression in the mode
- Added a new reward system, including reward vehicles
- Made balance changes to the map
- Reworked the vehicle rental mechanics in the Frontline mode
See more details in the dedicated article.
- Changes to the Store and Depot:
- In the Depot, added a new section for unique styles that are not compatible with the player’s vehicles in the Garage. Particularly, it will contain the styles received from the large Holiday Ops boxes, if the appropriate vehicles are not available in the player’s Garage.
- Added counters on the bundle tile that include several items: now players will be able to see how many Aid Kits (for example) a bundle contains.
- Updated Voice Messages in Battle for the Commanders in the Japanese vehicles (both male and female, when the Commander option is selected).
Changes to Technical Characteristics of Vehicles
U.S.
- Added the Premium tank destroyer of Tier VIII for testing by Supertest players: the TS-5.
France
- Removed the Boost functionality for wheeled vehicles.
Fixed issues
- Fixed some technical issues.
No more boost for wheeled vehicles – Common Test 1.4 (3)
We have spent much time monitoring the tests of the wheeled vehicles and how you play them. When it was necessary, we urgently responded by changing particular characteristics of the wheeled vehicles (for example, their top speed). During the tests, we observed one thing: the boost mechanics available in the French wheeled vehicles was rarely used.

1.4 Common Test 2 Feedback by RagingRaptor
Summary (from post, adressed to WG:
Wheeled Vehicles in General:
- Why do you loose the double R autopilot when switching modes?
- Very long break times. It is mandatory to bind your “stop and fire” key as the backwards speed can overwhelm you when you try to slow down.
- Can you add the speedometer also when you are zoomed in? So you know in what mode you are in and at what speeds you are.
- I really appreciate that the small tank pic in your lower left corner which shows your HP, crew and other statuses is unique to all wheeled vehicles. I appreciate that to be done to all the other tanks as well! Very well done
- Let us enable Rapid mode in the 30 seconds countdown to the game.

Data: A quick look at some serious balancing issues – T110E5 Vs Super Conqueror
Disclaimer: This is not a WG bash post, but yeah, this is pretty inexcusable/ridiculous.
I decided to compare these two tanks specifically because they play similarly (Tech tree heavy tanks, plays hulldown, 400 alpha damage, quick reload, similar speed, etc)
The Super Conq was released in October of 2017.
Nothing here is news and anyone who plays the game understands this matchup, but if you want stats:
https://tanks.gg/compare/s-conqueror?t=t110e5
Literally, the super conqueror is better at EVERYTHING except the E5 is slightly more mobile.
2 more degrees of depression, better turret armor, non huge easily penned cupola, better gun handling, a lot more DPM, 200 more hp even for some reason. Also the M103 is a joke compared to the Tier 9 conqueror as well.
The E5 has a better hull but it’s not like either tank is hard to pen in the hull, so that’s a moot point.
To be frank this is pretty embarassing in my opinion, to have two tanks that are so similar yet one is so much better than the other, for well over a year. You can draw similar conclusions from other tanks, and these discrepancies have existed in some cases for SEVERAL years (Leopard/Is4/etc lul)
Not sure why it’s so difficult to fix these issues, or at least make an effort to make some tanks more competitive. Improving a few variables takes what, 30 seconds? Not saying this would fix the problem entirely, but it would at least show an attempt.
