WoT: Micropatch to Fix Frontline Issue

EU:

As some of you have already noticed, we are currently facing an issue with the Frontline progression system. The experience values displayed in-game required to reach the different Tiers are incorrect.

We are going to deploy a micropatch to fix the issue on 10 March at 03:00 CET (UTC+1).

Afterwards, Frontline progression values will be displayed correctly and all the already earned Frontline XP will be converted as per the correct values.

The conversion will happen automatically after your first battle has been played with a Sergeant rank or higher and according to the battle results. Additionally, all missing Frontline rewards will be credited as well.

Due to the update, servers will be unavailable for 45 minutes.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and will do our best to keep the downtime as short as possible.

ASIA:

Please be informed that an urgent micropatch will be deployed on World of Tanks Asia periphery servers from 05:00 – 05:45 UTC +8 to fix the current issues with Frontline progression; the game and clan portal will be unavailable during this period.

WoT: Play Frontline & Steel Hunter and Earn Unique Tanks for Your Collection!

Source: EU Portal

2020 marks the 10th anniversary of World of Tanks, so get ready for tons of entertainment and pleasant surprises! One of the highlights of this year is a shared progression system, Expedition, for two enjoyable modes, Steel Hunter and Frontline. On top of the goodies from each individual mode, this system will reward you with additional prizes for sustained participation in one or both game modes.

How It Works

Frontline will return in the first half of 2020, while the revamped Steel Hunter will be waiting for you in the second half of the year. Each of these modes will consist of four separate Stages.

In each Stage you can earn up to 3 tokens, for a potential total of 24 (12 for playing Frontline and 12 for playing Steel Hunter). Use these tokens to redeem any two of the three exclusive vehicles listed below for 12 tokens each.

You don’t have to play both modes—the 12 tokens you need to get one tank all can be obtained by completing all the Stages of a single mode, or a mix of Stages from both modes.

Redeem Your Rewards!

All three reward vehicles are versatile Tier IX tanks and offer their owners unique and dynamic gameplay.

  • The  IX AE Phase I. This American heavy with four segmented tracks should already be familiar to many of you. It features a built-in Large Repair Kit and a solid, bouncy turret. In addition, this brawler boasts an accurate gun with good vertical gun angles and impressive penetration values.

WoT: International Women’s Day – Female Playerbase Statistics

In connection with Women’s Day which is today (8 March), Wargaming has created a portrait of female players in World of Tanks.

On the eve of International Women’s Day, Wargaming conducted a World of Tanks survey in which two thousand playing girls took part. This is how the portrait of the average “tankgirl” was created.

The developer noticed that in quantitative terms the female part is clearly smaller than the male – 2% compared to 98%. Most of them work as managers, and the average age of girls is 26. The vast majority are brunettes, they listen to pop and rock music, watch comedies and science fiction. They prefer a sporty style of dress, and from sports they are interested in volleyball, football and car racing.

“Tankgirls” are active in the game community: more than half are clan members, and 70% transfer friends from World of Tanks to the real world. Only 6% pay special attention to the results in the game – women mainly play for pleasure and look for new friends. Over half of the respondents said that they did not hide their gender in the game. This provides them a special approach, full of compliments and mistake forgiveness.

About 60% of women surveyed are married. Half of them play World of Tanks with their spouse, helping him by playing tank destroyers. Most survey participants – 65% do not play anything other than World of Tanks, and play every day or several times a week.

WoT: Frontline 2020 is actually easier… or is it?

Our friends at wotclue have made a spreadsheet showing the needed Frontline experience to reach each level compared to previous years. Needless to say, it’s way easier this year.

The biggest downside this year is that you will not be able to play again the missed Frontline stages. After completing each stage, the progress is zeroed and in the next month you will start the next stage from level 1.

Wargaming Partners With Stack Up to Support U.S. Veterans and Service Members

Source: Press Release

Operation Lifeboat aims to raise funds and awareness for 24/7 crisis intervention and peer-to-peer mental health support
AUSTIN, TEXAS, March 3, 2020 — Wargaming, the developer of World of Warships, and Stack Up, a nonprofit supporting veterans through gaming, today announced a partnership to raise money and awareness for military veterans in need of mental health support.
Watch the video from Stack Up about this project here.

Wargaming will introduce a special bundle within its highly popular World of Warships online game over a nine-week period, with 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the bundle to benefit Stack Up’s Overwatch Program (StOP). Started in 2016, StOP provides critical support to veterans through round-the-clock access to a team of trained and certified crisis-intervention volunteers via Discord. From the sale of the special, limited-edition in-game bundles, Wargaming is looking to raise $100,000 in donations to help fund Stack Up’s important work.

When it comes to mental health, access to crisis prevention programs is vital. To further support veterans and active-duty service members, later this year Wargaming will embed a link within World of Warships for gamers to connect directly to a trained Stack Up mental health support volunteer.
