Get ready to rumble, Commanders!

World of Tanks is going to host Battle Pass, an exciting new spin on Random Battles. The first Season of this large progression-based event will run for 3 months, from March through June 2020. There are tons of in-game rewards waiting for players who fight through the progression Stages, like a custom commander, up to two exclusive 3D styles, and lots more. Let’s roll!

Battle Pass Season I

March 12, 2020, 07:00 UTC through June 10, 2020, 00:00 UTC

General Overview

To start your journey in Battle Pass, simply play in Random Battles (except for Grand Battles) in Tier VI–X vehicles. Push yourself to the limits to perform at your best and earn Progression Points, which will automatically boost your current Battle Pass Stage.

The number of points earned depends on your position in your team’s post-battle ranking by XP earned. Even if your team lost or drew, you will still receive Progression Points. Check it out.

Position in Your Team’s Post-Battle Ranking by XP Earned Win a battle Lose a battle / Draw
TOP 3 7 5
TOP 10 5 3

The Battle Pass progression system will consist of two parts: Main and Elite. Each of them consists of a fixed number of Stages: 45 in the Main, and 100 in the Elite. To advance from one Stage to another in the Main Progression you will need to earn 50 points. Achieving each Stage will bring you valuable in-game rewards, and once you have reached a certain Stage, you cannot lose it.

Vehicles’ Point Limit

Each tank has a Point Limit you can reach. The higher the tank’s tier, the higher the Limit. Having reached the Limit, you can still play in this vehicle, but you won’t be able to earn more Progression Points in it, so you will need to choose another tank if you wish to continue earning them.

WoT: Bots on ASIA Server

A reader from the ASIA server emailed us this. Basically, a third of the team is made of bots after a certain hour:

„Hello there. As mentioned earlier, I’m a player from SEA server.(HK)
First of all, we, SEA server players, noticed that there are tons of bots ingame for so long after a specific time, like 12:00 a.m. ~ Of course we reported this issue to WG Asia branch and what they have been saying is that they should send all evidence (not only replays, but also obvious screenshots) to WG headquarters to examine whether they are bots or real players. I know that’s the obviously right procedure but bots still increase tremendously. WG doesn’t seem to have the will to solve this problem. This is a really serious problem to us.”

WoWS: ST, new ships

Please note that all information in the development blog is preliminary, may change during testing and not appear on the main server. The final information will be published on the official portal.

American aircraft carrier F. D. Roosevelt, Tier X:

Roosevelt’s aircraft will have a solid supply of armament and a good amount of hit points, but low speed and an interval of 25 seconds between squadron attacks.

This way, Roosevelt’s planes will be able to launch powerful but infrequent attacks on enemy ships.

Also, all the aircraft carrier’s squadrons are equipped with a “Repair” consumable with special settings:

  • The consumable is recharged more quickly.
  • The action time is longer than on other aircraft carriers.
  • Restores less amount of hit points than the same consumable on the other aircraft carriers.

This consumable is not designed to provide effective defense against the enemy’s AA guns during an attack, but will help to restore the squadron’s hit points between attacks, when outside the enemy’s AA zone.

Roosevelt’s attack aircraft will also have special rocket launcher settings. Despite the large number of rockets in each attacking flight, they will be fired one by one and over a large area. Therefore, this type of armament will not be excessively effective against small and maneuverable targets, such as destroyers.

French battleship Champagne, Tier VIII:
