Get ready to rumble, Commanders!

World of Tanks is going to host Battle Pass, an exciting new spin on Random Battles. The first Season of this large progression-based event will run for 3 months, from March through June 2020. There are tons of in-game rewards waiting for players who fight through the progression Stages, like a custom commander, up to two exclusive 3D styles, and lots more. Let’s roll!

Battle Pass Season I

March 12, 2020, 07:00 UTC through June 10, 2020, 00:00 UTC

General Overview

To start your journey in Battle Pass, simply play in Random Battles (except for Grand Battles) in Tier VI–X vehicles. Push yourself to the limits to perform at your best and earn Progression Points, which will automatically boost your current Battle Pass Stage.

The number of points earned depends on your position in your team’s post-battle ranking by XP earned. Even if your team lost or drew, you will still receive Progression Points. Check it out.

The Battle Pass progression system will consist of two parts: Main and Elite. Each of them consists of a fixed number of Stages: 45 in the Main, and 100 in the Elite. To advance from one Stage to another in the Main Progression you will need to earn 50 points. Achieving each Stage will bring you valuable in-game rewards, and once you have reached a certain Stage, you cannot lose it.

Vehicles’ Point Limit

Each tank has a Point Limit you can reach. The higher the tank’s tier, the higher the Limit. Having reached the Limit, you can still play in this vehicle, but you won’t be able to earn more Progression Points in it, so you will need to choose another tank if you wish to continue earning them.

The Super Conqueror and the Object 277 have a higher point limit compared to other Tier X vehicles. The limit for these vehicles is 300 points more.

Having earned the maximum number of Points on the selected vehicle, you will receive additional Progression Points as a recognition reward. The number of points depends on the vehicle’s tier and is specified in the table below.

Tier Point Limit Extra Points for Reaching the Limit
VI 100 15
VII 250 20
VIII 400 25
IX 550 30
X 700 35
Battle Pass Core Vehicles (more on them below) 1,000 35

All vehicles that are eligible for the Battle Pass event are marked with a special indicator on the tank carousel in your Garage. It displays how many points you have already earned in a particular vehicle and the remaining Point Limit. To see all vehicles in which you can still earn Progression Points, use the special filter.

Battle Pass Core Vehicles

There will be a couple of cool tanks boasting Core Vehicle status in each Battle Pass Season. They feature special rules for obtaining Progression Points, as well as increased Limits. In the first Season, these Core Vehicles are two of your old friends, the  X Object 277  and the  X Super Conqueror.

  • Playing in the formidable Super Conqueror, you will earn 3 points more when you are ranked top 3 in your team by XP earned, regardless of whether you won or lost.
  • Rolling into battle in the powerful Object 277, you have the opportunity to earn 1 point more than other tanks when you get into the top 10 of your team’s post-battle ranking by XP earned.

Each of these versatile vehicles snipes well, brawls decently, and will help you dominate the battlefield to earn maximum points—if you play to their strengths.

Let’s Talk Rewards!

Upon reaching each new Stage of the Main Progression, you will get a nice reward. At certain Stages, the reward will be noticeably better than usual. The first Season of the event will fill your vault with Days of WoT Premium Account, credits, Bounty Equipment, blueprint fragments, unique customizations, and a heap of other valuable items. Check them out.

You can find a list of all rewards for all Stages on the Battle Pass screen in your Garage.

Special mention must be made of Bounty Equipment, a special new type of Standard Equipment and a coveted reward for each Commander. Its characteristics can be improved to the level of Improved Equipment with credits, and you can demount it from your vehicle using gold, like standard equipment. In Battle Pass Season I, you can get your hands on the Bounty Rammer (upon reaching Stage 20) and the Bounty Gun Laying Drive (upon reaching Stage 30).

But wait, there’s more! The ultimate and most valuable prizes you will receive after completing the 45th Stage of Main Progression are:

  • A gorgeous 3D style for one of the two Core Vehicles (the Super Conqueror or the Object 277)
  • A unique custom commander for it, with Sixth Sense (as a zero perk), Repair and Jack of All Trades.

To redeem these rewards, vote for the tank you prefer in the game client. If you don’t have the Super Conqueror or the Object 277 in your Garage yet, you can unlock and research them using the blueprint fragments you’ve earned in the event.

After the end of the Season:

  • The tank team that won the vote will receive a special x2 Battle XP repeatable mission for all Tier IV-X vehicles in the Garage.
  • The second-place team will receive a special x2 Crew XP repeatable mission for all Tier IV-X vehicles in the Garage.

If you complete the Main Progression but don’t claim your rewards at the end of the first Season, you will be credited with the style and commander for the Object 277 within a year.

Want to grab both exclusive 3D styles? No problem! They will be available to you after completing the 45th stage of the Main Progression, when you purchase an Improved Pass.

Improved Pass

At each Stage, there are two levels of rewards available—Base and Improved. You can get all the Base Rewards for free by completing the Season. But by purchasing an Improved Pass, you can unlock and instantly receive the additional Improved Rewards as well, even for Stages you have already completed.

The Improved Pass is a special item available for 6,500 gold on the Battle Pass screen or in the in-game shop. You can purchase an Improved Pass at any Stage of the event. Additionally:

  1. In the first two months of the Season, you can buy a fixed package containing a maximum of 20 Stages for 5,000 gold. The fewer Stages that remain until the completion of the Main Progression, the smaller the number of Stages in the package and, accordingly, the lower its cost. When you purchase a package, you immediately receive all Base and Improved Rewards for all purchased Stages, and the Stages will be considered completed.
  2. In the third month of the Season, you can purchase any number of Stages of the Main Progression, and the cost of Improved Pass depends on the number of Stages (one Stage costs 250 gold).

These packages will only be available once you have purchased the Improved Pass.

Elite Progression

Your battle journey doesn’t end with the completion of the Main Progression. After completing the 45th Stage, the Elite Progression becomes available. Only the most dedicated players will be able to reach it. It consists of 100 Stages, through which you can further hone your battle skills and triumphantly complete the event.

You will earn Points in Elite Progression according to the same rules as in Main, but each Stage will require more Points to complete than the last, and will reward you with increasing amounts of bonds.

The Main and Elite Progressions share the same Point Limit for all vehicles, so be sure to keep expanding your arsenal of eligible vehicles.

Elite Chevron as a Mark of Glory

After completing the first Stage of Elite Progression, you will be rewarded with a brand-new Elite Chevron, exclusive to World of Tanks. It will show your current Battle Pass Stage, and this number will automatically increase as you move through the Elite Progression Stages. Apply it as a mark of glory and showcase your tank mastery throughout the event!

The badge needs to be applied manually in the Account Status screen and is visible to players from both teams. At the end of the event, it will be removed from your account.

Display your mastery and earn tons of rewards in the epic Battle Pass event!

  1. I can’t feel people complaining about this being too expensive. 6500 gold is only a little more than half of a tier 8 premium tank. You can get enough gold from 1v1 tournments. The free version also gives a lot of reward for a fair amount of playing. For me I paid nothing for the past 2 years and still have enough gold for this battle pass. And I feel it’s a pretty good deal.

    1. 6500 gold is the price of a tier 8 premium light tank. It’s about 25€. All you’re getting here with this pass for that price is blueprints for specific nations, an extra tank skin, some premium time and a bond gun rammer (which is pay2win at this point, it’s the only thing worth it in this pack).

Litteraly nothing unique except the rammer. Other games give you dozens of unique items for less than half the price and they don’t sell overpowered content for 50€ every two weeks.

      1. And I’m pretty sure most of those “other games” gives you almost nothing if you don’t pay that 10 euros, while in WOT it gives you half the rewards for free. Also as I said 6500 gold is 0 cent for me and there are loot boxes that you can get gold for usually half the price with other content. Buying gold in the “any amount” format for 25 euros is the worst way you can get gold. I don’t think calculating the price that way is so relevent, since you can get gold for free in a lot of events, e.g ranked battles, frontline, tournments and clan war.

Also I’m seeing you are biased on discussing the content. Those styles and camos inside the battle pass is the “dozens of unique items” you talked about in battle pass of other games. Why aren’t they unique and you just ignore them? I have to admit most WOT players including me don’t care about styles. But that doesn’t make skins in WOT different from other games.

      2. Should I say stop watching Quickybaby and think on your own first? He is the p2w player and know little about how actual f2p players should do to utilize everything in game. He never mentioned there is a bonus after you reach the point limit of a tank and that is what makes tier 6 the most efficient tier to grind battle pass. It is good he cares about f2p but I’m not buying his representation of the f2p players at all.

        1. Ah i see you are not fond of critical or long term thinking. Just blame people of different thoughts as mindless QB minions… That will shut them!
DaSpood never said anything about QB but brought a fair point that the Battle Pass just may be a new precedent case for WG to implement new ways to make this game even more p2w as it already is. Even though the Battle Pass seem to give you “a lot” it is just (worthless) shiny objects in front of your eyes to distract the fact that they want to SELL BETTER EQUIPMENT.
That you got the spare gold for the Battle Pass is nice and dandy but not an argument for WGs shady practices beeing okay. But well we should just stop beeing QBs minions and instead should be WGs minions… GENIUS

          1. I would say the introduction of bond equipments is a bigger issue to the game, but few objects them. The fact that they just have one or two more bond equipment is not a big deal at all. You can just grind tier 10 tanks and get a bond equiment in much less time than this battle pass, with all the daily missions we have now. What I see is that there is actually a way for players that don’t like tier 10 to get some equipments. I would say the economy of tier 10 is awful but that’s another topic. And you can definitely accelerate that progress by paying. In this aspect it is just another format of pay to progress with bond equipments already inside the game. It seems a lot of people over-react to this and many of them refers to QB. I don’t think it is just coincidence that the point DaSpood made overlaps with what QB made. It is even a good thing if everyone can get a handy amount of improved equipments on their favorite tanks which actually reduces the p2w in game.

            In short,
            Bond equipment: bad
More bond euipment for everyone: neutral
Enough bond euipment for everyone: good

If the bounty equipment is better than bond equipment then it is a serious issue that WG is selling better equiment.

            1. FlandreCino …. I believe this is when you should pretend you are going to the toilet and…. stay quiet! Just saying mate 🙂 My opinion only… as i accept yours!

            2. QB is my favorite CC but I disagree with him on this. With the bonded equips already in the game, everybody can get that improved rammer F2P so it is not too bad imo. The only advantage of this one is that you don’t need bonds to dismount it which is an acceptable advantage for paying players in a F2P title. The ranked rewards also include an improved rammer, so I agree with you that people are over-reacting to this battlepass system. It is true that they could’ve given a more meta equipment reward in the free system but personally my FV183 is sitting there looking at me and begging for an improved GLD so I don’t mind getting it through the battlepass system.

            3. The economy of WoT is a beast of its own that is true. I even can accept the economics of tier X because any game needs a credit sinks or credits will lose their meaning.
And i also understand your point that if everybody gets bond equipment it evens out the retardation that is bond equipment in this game.
But my point (and DaSpoon and QB and of many more) is that better equipment FOR REAL MONEY is bad for the game in many ways. And it is not like QB said it and everybody is repeating it. Many people saw the Battle Pass posts and thought exactly the same (as i said not everybody is a QB minion and some people are able of critical thinking). So please dont try to undermine different oppinions because QB said the same (even if he is right).
And giving WG now a pass because of all the shit theyve done in the past wont solve anything!

  2. WG banned me for using illegal mods and hacks… (without legit reason) so I won’t participate in their silly events anymore. It’s feels good and I hope you all fail!

    1. This is what I’m hearing: “Oh no! They caught me cheating so I’m not gonna play anymore!”

Good, we don’t need cheaters in the game.

  3. True we don’t need cheaters but I made an experiment when I found out about cheats in this game. One premium account using some free cheats like tundra and one normal account but with paid warpack cheats. Guess what? My premium account was banned for 7 days and the other one not. My guess is that paid cheats are made from wot developers. Why I’m saying that?
    1. Why wg keep count for destroyed objects or trees? Is this a necessity ? > pay for destroyed objects mod
    2. Arty fire trail? > pay for redball
    3. Useless ingame aimbot > pay for a better one but using the ingame engine
    4. And the list can jut go on

I thought that csgo was a game infected with cheats and delete it but this one is a worse one because of mods. Why wg won’t keep a game clean from mods? Read above.
