The SOMUA SM is a French experimental tank, developed in the immediate postwar  years as an alternative to the AMX-50 being developed in parallel at the time. Despite it being the AMX which ultimately entered service, this won’t stop the SOMUA SM from joining the ranks of the French ground forces tree in the upcoming War Thunder update!

Briefly: The alternative design to the AMX-50, featuring heavier armor protection at the expense of mobility.

For example, it tells which combinations of equipment are the best, feedback, ideas, and the final conclusion: „Unfortunately, it does not address the existing problems with the current equipment meta nor does it have equal impact on all vehicles in the game.”

This time, more detailed changes in the characteristics of German medium tanks.

E 50 Ausf. M:

The armor at the front of the turret was increased from 185 to 250 mm.

E 50:

8.8 cm KwK L / 100 gun with E 50 Ausf A turret mounted:
Increased damage from 240 to 280 hp;
Increased damage of HE shells from 295 to 370 hp;
Average damage per minute changed from 2177 to 2539;
Average damage per minute with HE shells changed from 2676 to 3356.
8.8 cm KwK L / 100 gun with E 50 Ausf. B turret mounted:
Increased damage from 240 to 280 hp;
Increased damage of HE shells from 295 to 370 hp;
Average damage per minute increased from 3004 to 3504;
Average damage per minute with HE shells increased from 3692 to 4631.

Panther II:
