Supertest: 🇩🇪 Kampfpanzer 07 RH (Initial Stats)

A new German Tier VIII medium tank, the Kampfpanzer 07 RH, is going to the Supertest.

This lightly-armored, dynamic, fast-firing vehicle has a 90 mm gun that reloads in 5.5 seconds and deals 200 damage per shot. A standard shell penetrates 205 mm, while the special HEAT shell penetrates 255 mm. Its dispersion is 0.37, aiming time is 1.5 s, and view range is 380 m.

The vehicle’s survival depends more on its dynamics since the armor is relatively weak. Only the upper glacis plate, can withstand enemy shells thanks to its angle. The vehicle has a specific power of 23.3 h.p./t that enables it to reach speeds up to 65 km/h. It has 1,350 hit points.

Thanks to its mobility, the Kampfpanzer 07 RH can freely move around the battlefield, selecting the best positions to maximize its high damage per minute. If needed, this vehicle can play as a scout, but it feels most comfortable in supporting roles where it can constantly deal damage and stave off the enemy. Source: EU Forums

  1. Looks interesting, but as usual – will it be relevant in any way compared to Progetto 46 and Bourrasque?

  2. “Thanks to its mobility, the Kampfpanzer 07 RH can freely move around the battlefield, selecting the best positions to maximize its high damage per minute. If needed, this vehicle can play as a scout”

“The vehicle’s survival depends more on its dynamics since the armor is relatively weak”

“it feels most comfortable in supporting roles where it can constantly deal damage and stave off the enemy”

Good luck with that on Ensk, Paris, Himmelsdorf, Abbey, Mines, Minsk, Mountainpass, Overlord, Pilsen, Kharkov, Glacier, Pearl river, Ruinberg, Serene coast, Siegfried line, Studzianki,Tundra, Mannerhein line, Airfield.

Since the beginning,WGs pathetic excuse for inferior non-russian tanks was the role of a “support vehicle” on maps that are mostly designed to get aggressive hull down posions and dominate with turret armor, while the so called “support mediums” cant hit-pen-damage, while getting spotted and hit at their weak armor from the hull down tanks,TDs and ofc arty.
Only after 6-7 years did WG realize that support mediums fail in their role due to map design, arty and OP russian meds, and began to buff Leopards,Pattons,Centurions etc etc, which can perform only in certain situations and limited maps.

(Ofc every russian hull down monster can do exactly what every other NATO medium can too, only safer due to turret and camo)

  3. there’s no rationality with WG anymore
this thing, that looks like a interim design between the Leopard 1 and MBT/Kpz.70, is armed with a copy of the gun used on the early variants of the M48 that the Western German Army operated during the Cold War
the same exact model/render of the gun had already been used on the T95E2 premium, and although the model is a bit modified it is also the same gun used on the TL-1 LPC(IRL they are all the same 90mm M41, although the TL-1 should have been armed with the 90mm smoothbore from the T95), all 3 are Tier 8 premium medium tanks, so why do they have different penetration values?
    T95E2 = 181mm
    TL-1 LPC = 208mm
    Kpz.7 RH = 205mm

wasn’t there something else they could balance and keep all 3 with the same penetration? 208mm is decent at Tier 8 but due to power-creeping anything below 215mm is not enough (just try the T32) which is particularly bad for the T95E2, the “saving grace” for the Kpz.7 RH will be its high mobility which is something neither of the other 2 have making their low pen even more impactful to their effectiveness

    1. More displeasing in my opinion is the fact that you now have 90 mm guns with 200,220,240,280 alpha in tier 8. Maybe its just me but could they please stop to make such a mess with the alpha on same caliber guns at least in the same tier?
