Made several changes to the Exterior section interface.
Reworked the experience distribution system. It will be used in the upcoming seasons of Ranked Battles*.*At WG Fest 2018 we announced that we were going to rework the experience distribution system for Ranked Battles. The feature is being tested on the server side in the background and it is of a technical nature. It will affect neither players nor the current system of earning experience in the game. Later we will share more details.
Spring is right around the corner, and alongside the new season, a fresh update is coming to World of Tanks! In the upcoming Update 1.4.1, we will treat you to special gifts called “Random Rewards” and a new feature, Blueprints. In addition, we’re introducing new opportunities for Crew customization, Crew Skins.
In the Depot, added a new section for unique styles that are not compatible with the player’s vehicles in the Garage. Particularly, it will contain the styles received from the large Holiday Ops boxes, if the appropriate vehicles are not available in the player’s Garage.
Added counters on the bundle tile that include several items: now players will be able to see how many Aid Kits (for example) a bundle contains.
Updated Voice Messages in Battle for the Commanders in the Japanese vehicles (both male and female, when the Commander option is selected).
Changes to Technical Characteristics of Vehicles
Added the Premium tank destroyer of Tier VIII for testing by Supertest players: the TS-5.
Removed the Boost functionality for wheeled vehicles.
We have spent much time monitoring the tests of the wheeled vehicles and how you play them. When it was necessary, we urgently responded by changing particular characteristics of the wheeled vehicles (for example, their top speed). During the tests, we observed one thing: the boost mechanics available in the French wheeled vehicles was rarely used.
It’s been over two weeks since our last release, and we’ve got a fairly-packed new update wrapped and ready for Common Test. There’s plenty to cover, from an evolved take on customization and level design tweaks to select maps and new Tier X Soviet tanks. Oh, and we’ve got a bunch of improvements to the beginner’s experience. Let’s dive in, shall we?
