Armored Vehicles

Q. Would it be possible for the well known Bob Semple Tank to be added into the game on a tech tree, or perhaps as an event vehicle?  It is a vehicle that many members of the community would be very happy to see added to the game in some form.

A.    At the moment we have no plans for this tank.

Q. It’s been some time since we heard any news on further Japanese Heavy tanks. Are there still plans to add more? Is there a lack of info? What about the O-I being added as a rare event machine?

A.    Yes, we still do not have enough information on these machines, and as far as is possible to judge, it is impossible to find the missing info. There will be too much room for guesswork and paper design, which we would like to avoid.

Q. You mentioned plans for the C1 preserie for Italy, does this mean a prototype/early series of the Leclerc is also possible soon for France? As they will really fall behind.

A.    We have already said that we have more sophisticated and modern French tanks than the AMX-40 in development. When? Look forward to the publication of future development blogs.

Supertest News: VK 75.01 (K)

Today the VK 75.01 (K), a tier VIII Premium German heavy tank will enter the Supertest.

Gameplay-wise, it could be described as a tier-adjusted VK 45.02 (P) Ausf. B. The VK 75.01 (K) has excellent side armor and a strong glacis plate with 180mm of nominal armor. The well-protected turret (250mm nominal armor in the front) utilizes a gun dealing an average of 490 damage per shot with 226mm of armor penetration with the standard round.

The VK 75.01 (K) is efficient at a close range, and sometimes at mid-range: this way, you can compensate for the not-so-stellar accuracy and aiming time of the gun. It’s a classic slow German heavy with a thick hide, so be careful when choosing a flank to push or defend. The VK 75.01 (K) has a decent turning rate, so running circles around it isn’t a universal go-to option for its adversaries. As for the German’s operator, the general tactic is rolling out of cover to deal damage (with enemies’ shots most likely ricocheting or being blocked by armor) and then rolling back into cover to reload. Add support from the allies to this simple play style, and you will win time after time!

The VK 75.01 (K) is manned by a crew of five: Commander, Gunner, Driver, Radio Operator, and a Loader.

Ranked Battles Styles – Next Season

Special Style “Golden League”

The style is given to players who have demonstrated extraordinary skills: they have completed all divisions and are among the top 20% or the first to hit the league. The style used on the vehicle shows the actual achievement of the owner. To be able to apply this style, you must each time defend the acquired title in the next Ranking Battles Seasons.

Update 1.5 Patchnotes

Main Changes:

1. WoT Premium Account

The introduction of a new type of Premium Account — WoT Premium Account/WoT PA.

This type of the Premium Account works only in WoT. WoT Premium Account provides bonuses to experience, Crew Experience, Credits, and access to new functionality:

  • Reserve Stock: The Reserve Stock allows receiving extra 750,000 Credits per week. An additional 10% bonus on top of the Credits you earn in battles will fall into a special vault. Every 7 days, the vault will open, and all Credits accumulated in it will be automatically moved to your account.
  • Platoon bonus: If at least one player in a Platoon has WoT PA, that player will earn +15% to credits for every battle. The one who doesn’t have WoT PA, will receive +10% to Credits.
  • Manageable bonus to XP: Thanks to WoT Premium Account, players will be able to apply the ×3 multiplier and increase the experience earned in their latest victorious battle. This ×3 multiplier can be applied to the Battle Results five times a day.
  • Premium missions: Owners of WoT Premium Account will have the opportunity to complete a chain of 3 simple daily missions.
  • All owners of WoT PA will have one more slot for map blacklisting, so they can exclude two (2) maps total. As long as WoT Premium Account is active, the player will not fight on two excluded maps in the Random Battles (for Standard Battles only).

Specifics of the WoT Premium Account Release

  • All players will receive the same number of days of regular Premium Account, in the form of World of Tanks Premium account, on release day.
  • Both versions of the Premium Account will exist together, however WoT Premium Account will be active in the game client. Regular Premium Account can be active only if WoT Premium Account expires.

1.5 Ranked Battles – New Medals

In the update 1.5 game files you can find special medals and badges that can be displayed in battles. Dedicated to participants of the next season of Ranked Battles.

Badges

  • Golden Legionnaire – Achieve league I in the next season of ranked battles. Once won, the title must be defended in each subsequent Season.
  • Silver Legionnaire – Achieve the 2nd league in the next season of ranked battles. Once won, the title must be defended in each subsequent Season.
  • Bronze Legionnaire – Achieve the 3rd league in the next season of ranked battles. Once won, the title must be defended in each subsequent Season.

Medals

  • Citius, Altius, Fortius! – Get a certain number of chevrons in each League.
  • Seasonal Crusade – Play a specific number of battles in Divisions that are higher than the qualifying division.
