WoT Sandbox – New Iteration Patchnotes

  • Shells for SPGs  rebalanced starting from Tier VI.
  • If the gun of an SPG is not used on vehicles above Tier V, or the gun does not have a standard stunning HE shell, the gun will not be rebalanced (no shells will be added).
  • If the gun uses a special HE shell, then it simply loses the stun effect. All other parameters of such shells will remain unchanged, but at the same time the average damage per shot will increase by about 15% in comparison to the damage per shot of the standard shell. In other words, the previous special HE shell will be brought into line with the new concept (it will no longer stun and receives increased damage per shot).
  • The special ammo of the Premium SPGs are represented by HEAT (for the 105 leFH18B2) and AP (for the Sexton I) shells. The parameters of these shells will remain unchanged.
  • The Battle Results are displayed in fullscreen.
  • The Personal Score tab has been renamed to Battle Results, and a Personal Score section has been added. This section contains the total values of the following parameters:
    • Damage caused with your assistance
    • Damage caused
    • Damage blocked by armor
    • Enemy vehicles destroyed
  • The Battle Performance section has been moved from the Personal Score tab to the Team Score tab. Now, when you open the Team Score tab, a screen consisting of two sections (Our Team and Battle Performance) will be displayed by default.
  • The Statistics and Time sections have been removed from the Detailed Report tab. The tab itself has been renamed to Financial Report and will contain only finance-related information. The content of the Statistics and Time sections is available only in the Statistics section of the Team Score tab.
  • The interface for applying the Manageable bonus has been changed.
  • The interface for Reward for Merit progression has been changed.
  • The team score can now be sorted according to the following parameters:
    • Damage caused
    • Enemy vehicles destroyed
    • Experience

WoT Sandbox – Rebalancing Artillery and Their Shells

http://na-wotp.wgcdn.co/dcont/fb/image/special_shells_rebalance_1920x900.jpg

Commanders, the Sandbox server will be launched on November 25 to continue testing the global shell rebalance, and will be up until December 9.

In previous iterations, we assessed the changes to all shell types for non-SPG vehicles. Now it’s time to move forward; in the upcoming version, we will keep all the changes from previous iterations and Thank you to all those who participated in the previous test. The data we received and your perceptions have proved to be extremely valuable.

The new test iteration will include changes to SPGs.

In this Sandbox iteration, we will not change the parameters of the economy, Personal Missions, or the display of players’ statistics. We will get to them only after finishing the work on shell rebalancing.

World of Tanks – Things to expect in 2020

Main information taken from easter eggs featured in the new “Veteran’s reward” program video.

1. Changes in all types of shells, most likely we are talking about the Sandbox.

2. Unannounced 2020 plans, The battle of bloggers (an RU event), Crew rework, rewards for achievements in-game.

(Mexican tanks were mentioned in the video).
3. Introduction of Battle pass.

4. The return of tokens to the game (from the Summer Festival 2019), most likely in the form of awards in the Battle pass.

5. Return of the WoT Classic next year.

6. More balancing and matchmaking changes.

7. Celebrating 10 years of tanks.

8. Steel Hunter as a permanent game mode.

9. The return of the Black Market in 2020.

World of Tanks – Another Well-Deserved Reward! (Tier 7 Hellcat as a reward!)

Commanders!

We’re happy to announce that we’re bringing the Well-Deserved Reward back this year! It will be available from 09:00 CET (UTC+1) on November 28.

Beginning at this time, log in to the game to get your hands on cool gifts from our team, including the redoubtable Hellcat, an American Tier VII tank destroyer with a custom look. We would also like to remind you that you can still get your Well-Deserved Reward from last year until 06:00 CET (UTC+1) on December 1, 2019.

World of Tanks – Sayonara, Frontlines!

10th and the last episode of Frontlines comes to and end. People through rage, salt and tears received their tier VIII and at first top secret tier IX, Phase 1 and Emil 1951. And what a road it has been. From overpowered (to still quite broken) light tanks rushing cap circles, broken support mechanics that allowed to spot everyone forever and farm spotting damage indefinitely, to WG adding Frontlines boosters to help with the XP farm, it has been an interesting event that brings some sort of variety to the World of Tanks brand.

Whether it was the unique vehicles, credit farming or just messing around in your wheeled EBR’s, Frontlines was a nice spectacle and hopefully it will return soon (and yes they will, along with Battle Royale!).

Furthermore,  starting today, you can exchange your remaining tokens for gold and bonds.

The exchange rate is as follows:

1 Token = 300 gold and 100 bonds.

WoT RU – Massive Sales on nearly EVERYTHING In Premium Shop (That might come to other servers too!)

As part of the upcoming Black Friday specials, RU server has decided to discount nearly everything turning what used to be overpriced offers into truly great steals. Hopefully this offer comes to EU server aswell.

Furthermore, RU server has received something called a prize box. It’s a currently RU exclusive reward program where everyone receive a free week of premium time and 3 missions with decent rewards (10k free XP, credits and etc.). However, transforming the page into links from other servers lead into a “page under maintenance” error on NA, which means the special might arrive onto other servers aswell.

TAP Special #6 : Chars d’arrêt FCM & STCC

You may find the other articles of this serie by clicking here. Enjoy your read!

On May 28th, 1928, General Estienne informed the Ministry of War of the interest of a powerful tank of 40 to 50 tonnes, with 6 or 7 cm of armor, and equipped with a high velocity 75 mm gun. This tank, which would be called “char d’arrêt”, was favorably received as early as July 9th, 1928 by the Minister as part of the defense of fortified areas. A first approach points out that the armor, in order to withstand tank attacks, should be around 10 cm thick. On the 13th of July, General Estienne had the Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranée (FCM) study a project on the following bases :

– Railway transport, similarly to the 2C tank
– Armament: two 75 mm guns (700 m/s velocity), with a rate of fire ranging from 12 to 15 rounds per minute
– Speed : about 5 to 6 km/h in cross-country conditions
– Vertical armor: 10 cm on 3 faces, or 15 cm frontal armor with 6 to 7 cm of side armor

The theoretical study takes place, starting from the tank B1 and the tank 2C, with results in mass greater than or equal to 100 tonnes, with such dimensions that the turning capacities are altered. In July 1928, it’s envisaged to have a vehicle in two unsuspended parts, with 10 cm of frontal and side armor, weighing 70 to 80 tonnes, and with a top speed of 6 km/h: a crawler platform (with two electric engines) with double 75 mm gun turret, and a « factory-vehicle » (two generators and two electric engines) fueling the “turret” vehicle thanks to flexible ropes.

Due to the poor practicability of this concept, a second 60-65 tonnes draft was made in August 1928, this time with a single vehicle armed with just one marine 75 mm gun Mle 1922 CA (850 m/s velocity), in the hull, within the axis of the tank, aimed through the tracks, and powered by a Sauter-Harle engine (250 to 270 hp). The maximal armor was 12 cm, and the top speed was 6 km/h. Continue reading “TAP Special #6 : Chars d’arrêt FCM & STCC”

WoT Supertest – IS-2-II changes

Last night the IS-2-II received 2nd iteration. The developers realized that the tank was far too bad for the tier. However, for now only the top gun is being worked on and it’s unknown if the stock grind is going to be miserable aswell (stock gun is an 85mm gun with 120mm of penetration standard and the stock stats are not that different from a fully upgraded KV-1, and this is at tier 8).

100 mm S-34D changes:
• Gun reload time (1/2): from 9.5 / 9.5 to 8.5 / 8.5 sec
• Preparation time for a double shot: from 2.5 for 2 sec.
• Recharge lock time: 4 seconds (didn’t change)
• Weapon switch time: 5 sec (didn’t change)
• Average damage per minute: from 1277 to 2209
