How to Grind Credits Easily (ASIA/NA)

Thanks to RagnarokBazil for the idea and battle result screen.

I suppose you already know about the South American/Australian servers. You can use them to play matches with bots and have an easier time making credits at low tiers than at higher tiers. It’s even possible to survive 100 battles in a row, since most battles with bots are basically 1v1s.

You can make tier 8 credits at tier 5 and make tier 5 credits at tier 2. That nets you 90k to 125k per battle with a premium account. With a credit booster you’re looking at 200k even. With a tier 5 premium on the ASIA server you almost always get top tier too. The bots only shoot premium ammo at tier 4 and 5; so tier 3 and below, if they can’t pen, they will shoot only HE and they can’t hurt you at all. Bots show up at only tier 1 to 5 if the player count is low. You can make 1 million credits in under 10 battles with a premium account. You can skip tiers with this tactic as tank rewards missions are counted at tiers 1 to 5.

The best tanks for doing this are Panzer V/IV, Churchill III, T-14, M4 Improved, Excelsior.

Source: WoWS Devblog

Please note that all information in the development blog is preliminary and subject to change during testing. Any showcased features may or may not end up on the main server.

American cruiser Anchorage, Tier VIII:

Anchorage is a universal heavy cruiser capable of fighting at close- and mid-ranges. The ships has a decent main caliber guns. “Hydroacoustic Search” consumable and torpedo armament allows Anchorage to feel comfortable in close-range combat, and a “Smoke generator” consumable, which is uncharacteristical for American heavy cruisers, will let her avoid enemy’s focued fire or take a break in battle.

German cruiser München, Tier VII:

The ship has a good firing range and main battery reload time, as well as brand German HE shells’ penetration and effective AP shells. The ship’s concept is similar to German Tier VIII cruiser Mainz. Continue reading “WoWS ST 0.9.6, new ships”

Wargaming Copenhagen was bought by Rovio

Rovio Entertainment has acquired Darkfire Games – Copenhagen based mobile games studio

June 3, 2020 – Espoo – Rovio Entertainment Corp. has acquired a free-to-play (F2P) mobile games studio Darkfire Games (formerly Wargaming Denmark), focused on Role Playing Games (RPG). Rovio acquired all of the outstanding shares of Darkfire Games for an undisclosed sum on June 3, 2020, and the wholly-owned Rovio subsidiary will become Rovio Copenhagen.

Rovio Copenhagen will continue to operate as an independent studio focusing on mobile RPGs. At present, the studio comprises 20 gaming industry veterans with vast expertise in making RPGs. As part of the acquisition, Rovio takes on the studio’s currently soft-launched mobile RPG, Darkfire Heroes. The game’s development will continue in Copenhagen, with Rovio providing synergies and support for the studio in central functions and areas such as user acquisition, technology, analytics and live operations.

“We are very excited to have Darkfire Games joining Rovio’s network of game studios, says Kati Levoranta, CEO of Rovio. “This strengthens our game genre mastery and expansion to Mid-Core games, where we see attractive opportunities in RPG’s. In addition, there is a great strategic and cultural fit for both teams. The talented team in Copenhagen will be a fantastic addition to Rovio’s already highly skilled flock.

The studio will continue to be led by Rune Vendler. Rune has an extensive career in mobile gaming and he has previously worked at companies such as Lionhead Studios, Hapti.co, IO Interactive and Wargaming.

“We are excited and proud to be joining Rovio, a company that shares our ambitions for high quality and innovative games, says Rune Vendler, Head of Copenhagen studio. “We’re looking forward to becoming part of the company that created a mobile game phenomenon in 2009 and has since grown to be one of the leaders in mobile gaming. World of Tanks to arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

World of Tanks will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. And there was announced a crossplay between PlayStation and Xbox, which will appear in the summer of this year.

It was supposed to be announced at the presentation of Sony’s PlayStation 5 on June 4, but as you may know, it was postponed to a later date due to protests in the US.

Now the entire gaming industry is looking forward to the next console generation. World of Tanks is available on the current consoles – should we wait for it to appear on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, or will they work with backwards compatibility?

📄 “I know that colleagues from World of Tanks Console are preparing the game for release on the new generation of consoles – PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in backwards compatibility mode. Previously, the game worked on the same principle on Xbox 360 and Xbox One: the consoles shared the same server, and the players got into the same battle. In addition, as far as I know, a crossplay will be launched in the summer: tankers on PlayStation will be able to play with tankers on Xbox.

Many other new changes and additions are planned and are already being added to the game. To make all of them available on new-generation consoles, Xbox 360 support for World of Tanks was discontinued. So by the time the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X launch, the game will not only be available in backwards compatibility mode, but it will also be greatly transformed both externally and functionally.”
— Maksim Chuvalov (Global Publishing Director of World of Tanks).
