Sandbox tests of the new mode started.

Keep also in mind, that Player Support does not grant the access to the tests. Information about the application submission can be found in the article.

Keep also that this mode is experimental and we expect bugs. Most visible known bugs are:

  1. Issue with the tracks animation.
  2. Upon destruction of the tank, it’s possible, that some interface elements might stay active.
  3. Damage log is not displayed, when controlling a tank.
  4. Camera does not center properly, when clicking on the minimap.
  5. Leaving the controlled tank while right mouse button is held, can lead to turret getting “stuck”. Right click again, to fix the issue.

Supertest: Lost Paradise & Pacific Coast Maps

If you haven’t had the chance to visit the Pacific, we’re taking you there in World of Tanks! Lost Paradise and Pacific Coast are coming to the Supertest server this week.

Lost Paradise:

A map for Standard Battle

Size: 1,100 х 1,100 meters

Location: Pacific islands

Setting: Summer – Pacific

Minimap:

Gameplay:

1) The area for mobile vehicles and initial spotting. Low cover, bushes, and small elevation changes.

2) The upper part of the passage for well-armored vehicles. It’s more dangerous than passage 3. There are many lines of fire both to and from this area. It’s open for SPG fire.

The sandbox test server can be updated. The update introduces the experimental Order of War event.

The existing in-game Platoon system in World of Tanks has been around for years, but some of its options are a bit limited, especially when you want to find the most suitable players to play with. As a result, we decided to visually rework and build up the current Platoon system by making it more functional, efficient, and convenient. Let’s see how it will work.

Find Platoon Members Easily

After the release of Update 1.11.1, you will be able to fight in a Platoon with players from your friends list by clicking the “New Platoon” button just like before, or using the new “Find Players” feature to automatically form a Platoon.

You can use the new system to automatically find players who best fit your Platoon, scored according to the following search criteria:

  • Current Global World of Tanks Rating (*WTR). The system will first select players that differ from you by ≤500 WTR. If no suitable tankers are found, the search will expand to include players with a greater difference in ratings.
  • Number of available vehicles in your preferred tiers. You can select several vehicle tiers to find players who will best suit your Platoon’s composition. For example, players with Tier VIII or X tanks. Only battle-ready tanks will be counted. This scoring will be done separately for each tier, and players with more tanks of your chosen tier are more likely to be matched.
  • Number of battles in each of your selected tiers. Selected tiers will also be expanded after a while in the search.
  • Voice chat enabled or disabled. If you activate this option, you can still mute individual Platoon players.
  • Clan members. You are more likely to be matched to members of your clan who meet the above criteria.

Top of the Tree: AMX 13 105

This time, the race to the top of the tree will be an especially fast one, as it’s packed with fast and mobile tanks from France. Starting at Tier VI and going all the way to the  X AMX 13 105  at the top, the French light tank branch consists of mobile, barely armored autoloaders that share a very similar playstyle.

Speed around the battlefield and support your team by gathering vital intel and spotting enemies thanks to your great camouflage value, or jump straight into action with your autoloader blazing. The 3-round clip is able to deal almost 1,200 damage in less than 6 seconds. This might not be enough to take out an enemy at full capacity, but it will leave more than just a scratch. Penetration value, aiming time, and gun accuracy are best used at close to mid-range, so make sure to have your escape route planned for when the clip is empty and you have to reload.
