Over the weekend, a brand-new nation was announced for the console version of World of Tanks for the first time in many years — 🇨🇭 Switzerland. It will feature a Medium Tank branch, with its release scheduled for August 2026.
The last time Wargaming added a new nation to one of its PC titles was 3 years ago, when 🇪🇸 Spain was introduced to World of Warships. For WoT Console, this is the first new nation since 2019, when 🇮🇹 Italy was added.
The nation is represented by a Medium Tank branch:
• 🇨🇭 MFT 17 “Moskito” (LT-1, techtree)
• 🇨🇭 Panzerwagen 34/35 (LT-2, techtree)
• 🇨🇭 Panzerwagen 39 (LT-3, techtree) — already exists as a premium vehicle in 🇨🇿 Czechoslovakia
• 🇨🇭 Ram I (MT-4, techtree) — only the 🇺🇸 Ram II currently exists in the game
• 🇨🇭 L Pz 51 (LT-5, techtree) — based on the 🇫🇷 AMX 13
• 🇨🇭 KW 30 1952 (MT-6, techtree)
• 🇨🇭 KW 30 1957 (MT-7, techtree)
• 🇨🇭 Panzer 58 (MT-8, techtree) — already exists as a premium vehicle in 🇩🇪 Germany
• 🇨🇭 Panzer 61 (MT-9, techtree)
• 🇨🇭 Panzer 74 (MT-10, techtree)
• 🇨🇭 Panzer 57/60 (MT-8, premium) — shown in the screenshot.
Some of these tanks have already appeared in other nations as premium vehicles. However, the 🇨🇭 Swiss branch as a whole will consist primarily of unique vehicles and mostly real-world projects.
The addition of such a nation is certainly welcome news. Unfortunately, it was developed by the WoT Console team, so it is unlikely to make its way into the PC version of the game.
