1.14: “Gunsmith” Style Set – More Pictures

Even more images of the Gunsmith Style Set added in Update 1.14. Style treated as non-historical, valued at 750 gold. Available for vehicles of all nationalities and tiers.

— An all-season style dedicated to the Gunsmith day.

The main task of ancient armorers was to create bladed weapons and metal armor. With the invention of gunpowder, muskets and cannons came to accompany (and later replace) daggers and sabers. Engraving, embossing, and any other artistic expressions increased the weapon’s value. The masters were constantly inventing new technologies and passed on their knowledge to their children. This created whole dynasties of gunsmiths who kept the secrets of making steel, hardening blades, and decorating handles.

In the modern world, the word \”gunsmith\” includes many professions from design engineer to engraver. Apart from the weapon’s appearance, they pay close attention to its technical properties—accuracy, rate of fire, and effective range—as well as create new types of weapons. Improved Field Modification: How It Works

After completing the test of Field Modification on the Sandbox server, we carefully analyzed your feedback and all the data we obtained. Many thanks to all the active and dedicated players who supported us and joined the test—your help was invaluable! Following the test results, we improved certain aspects of Field Modification that were widely discussed during the Sandbox testing.

Field Modification: A Feature to Tweak Your Favorite Tanks

Let’s take a quick look at the core mechanics of Field Modification and how they can benefit your favorite vehicles.

Field Modification is available for all Tier VI–X vehicles (including Collectors’, special, and Premium vehicles but excluding rentals and vehicles from various special game modes, such as Steel Hunter or Mirny-13). In a nutshell, Field Modification is a set of tools for fine-tuning specific technical characteristics of your tanks, which will become available once they acquire Elite status.

Field Modification consists of three types of modifications that players can make to a vehicle’s technical parameters or setup:

Top of the Tree: K-91

The latest Top of the Tree special takes you along a Soviet medium tank line that has not been featured in this special before. Explore the branch up to the X K-91 and experience stealthy DPM machines. Use the great discounts, missions, and bonuses to climb the tree and surprise your opponents on the battlefield!

Once you’ve made your way to the end of the line, you’ll be treated to one of the highest DPM in the game. Even without added consumables or equipment, the K-91 easily breaks the 3,000 DPM mark. The 100 mm D-46T cannon is among the best armaments of all medium tanks, thanks to excellent penetration, low dispersion, a quick aiming time, fast reloading speed, and high shell velocity. Use the great camouflage values and top speed of 55 km/h to easily take sniper positions and chip away at the enemy’s HP from a distance.

Keeping as much space between the K-91 and the enemy is highly recommended, as the medium tank lacks proper armor and its semi-rotatable rear-mounted turret puts it at a disadvantage when brawling. Despite its great gun depression of 9 degrees, the limitations of its turret means it can only reach its full potential over the sides not the front.

Make your way up the Tech Tree from August 5 at 07:00 CEST (UTC+2) through September 5 at 07:00 CEST (UTC+2), and take advantage of great discounts and missions all the way to the top. Don’t forget that you have 10 days to purchase an extra boost if you want to speed things up!

Topography: A New Mode to Boost Your Map Knowledge

Source: EU Portal

Of all the things that contribute to players’ performance in World of Tanks, map knowledge is one of the most indispensable.

Many a player will recall those fatal situations where taking one wrong direction caused them to return to the Garage before they knew it, spoiling both their mood and statistics. Having observed these struggles from new and veteran players alike when getting to grips with maps, we’ve decided to introduce a new training mode: Topography. To get a quick idea of what it is and how it will benefit you, check out the overview below.

What is Topography?

Topography is a single-player training mode where commanders are shown the ropes of map navigation in World of Tanks. The idea behind Topography is simple: You’ll play four different scenarios while learning the “traffic patterns” that are typical for certain maps, depending on the base you start at and the vehicle type you play. You’ll be shown the main routes, key places to seek cover, and many other positions to understand how to avoid being destroyed, as well as how (and where) to use your vehicle to the fullest. All scenarios, including suggested routes, firing lines, and enemy behavior, are based on heatmaps from real battles.

And the best part? For your training achievements, you’ll be generously rewarded!

How Does It Work?

  • Find the mode in the client.
  • Choose a map and one of four scenarios.
  • Enter the battle.
  • Move through the map, following all the hints.
  • Destroy AI-controlled opponents.
  • Get skilled and rewarded!

And now for the details.

Scenarios
