Recon Mission: Stay Tuned for Updates!

Recon Mission, our new game mode, is about to hit the live servers! We are currently working on improving it and will share more details as soon as we can.

Premium Vehicle Rebalancing

We’re continuing to work on rebalancing popular Premium and reward tanks and updating their combat effectiveness. This time, we’re improving the characteristics of some your favorite tanks from different nations, including: T34 and T34 B, AMX Chasseur de chars, KV-5, IS-6 and IS-6B, 112, WZ-111 and WZ-111 Alpine Tiger, T-34-3, M48A2 Räumpanzer, M46 Patton KR, T95E2, 59-Patton.

We’re enhancing their strengths to emphasize their gameplay and make them more competitive on the battlefield.

Changes to Personal Missions for Artillery

We’re updating some Personal Missions for artillery to make them more achievable. We tried to rework the missions for a certain amount of stun and damage because these parameters were affected in Update 1.13. The rest of the less complex missions remain unchanged. The missions’ changes are not very significant, because SPGs can still effectively stun enemy vehicles with the first HE shell and deal damage with the second one.

Field Modification

Want to fine-tune your favorite vehicles to make them better suit your needs and personal playstyle? Take advantage of Field Modification, a brand-new feature for tweaking specific characteristics of Tier VI–X tanks (including Collectors’, special, and Premium vehicles). Field Modification consists of three types of special adjustments you can make to a vehicle’s parameters or setup. Try it out and take a fresh look at the strengths of your favorite tanks!

Welcome to Safe Haven!

A brand-new Random Battles map is here! Welcome to Safe Haven, a spacious 1000×1000-meter summer map set in 1960s Japan. It is designed as a demilitarized civilian port adjacent to a traditional fishing village.
Safe Haven is divided into two large gameplay zones. The first is the harbor area with plenty of cover and a huge bunker where heavily armored vehicles will feel right at home. The second is a picturesque green zone, which is good for faster and less-armored tanks. Ambush TDs and SPGs will also find some advantageous positions here. Explore Safe Haven and get ready for intense clashes on a new battlefield!

Improve Your Map Knowledge in Topography!

To help newcomers better navigate maps in World of Tanks, we’re introducing a new training mode: Topography. The training in this mode takes place in a single-player mission format, where you’ll be able to master the basics of playing on maps of different difficulties. Completing missions and exploring maps will improve your navigation skills and help increase your survivability. Plus, you will get rewards, including credits, free XP, and consumables.

Join the 11th Anniversary of World of Tanks!

Time to party hearty, Commanders! Join our anniversary bash as we celebrate 11 glorious years of World of Tanks. A feast of fun events, valuable rewards, and cool gifts await, so keep your eyes peeled and get ready to celebrate with us—August Heat is already here!

Release Notes 1.14

Main Changes

New Mode

A new training mode has been added: Topography.

This is a single-player training mode that allows you to learn basic tactics for Standard Battles on 15 maps.

Field Modification

The new Field Modification mechanics was added to the game. Field Modification allows players to fine-tune the technical characteristics of Tier VI–X vehicles once they have acquired Elite status.

New Czechoslovakian Heavy Tank Branch

Four new heavy tanks (from Tier VII through Tier X) were added:

  • Tier VII — Vz. 44-1
  • Tier VIII — TNH 105/1000
  • Tier IX — TNH T Vz. 51
  • Tier Х — Vz. 55

The new branch will start from the Škoda T 25.

The main feature of these vehicles (starting from Tier VIII) is the choice of two top guns. The first gun fires in classic (cyclic) mode, while the second features a two-shell autoloader.

For each of the three vehicles, both guns are equal in battle performance, which allows players to choose the gun that best suits their personal playstyle without losing firepower.

New Frontline Season

From August through November, four Frontline stages will take place.

Players will be able to use Tier IX vehicles, provided certain in-battle conditions are met.

The following vehicles were added to Frontline:

U.S.S.R.

  • Т-54 ltwt. FL
  • T-54 FL

Germany

  • Ferdinand FL
  • Jagdtiger FL
  • E 50 FL

U.S.A.

  • T30 FL
  • M46 Patton FL

France

  • AMX M4 mle. 51 FL

U.K.

  • Conqueror FL

China

  • WZ-111 model 1-4 FL

Japan

  • Type 61 FL

  • Cooldown time was increased to 260/240/220 s
  • Recon Flight time was decreased to 15/17/20 s

Airstrike

  • Cooldown time was decreased to 210/190/170 s

Artillery Strike

  • Strike area radius was increased to 12 m
  • Number of bombs was increased to 22/24/32
  • Deployment time was decreased to 4 s

Minefield

  • Cooldown time was increased to 240/220/200 s
  • Maximum stun duration was decreased to 10 s

Players will be able to earn Battle Pass Points.

Balance changes were made to strengthen the positions of the attacking team. The access routes to the large-caliber guns (for the final stage of the offensive) were improved.

Maps

A new 1,000×1,000-meter summer map was added for Random Battles: Safe Haven. The map is set in 1960s Japan and is based on a demilitarized civilian port.

Changes were made to the Ruinberg map to fix the imbalance: Teams should have equal chances to take control and hold positions in the suburban area in the eastern part of the map.

Movement Physics

Vehicle behavior on slopes and over large objects on maps (such as rocks, debris, ruins, etc.) was improved. Now, vehicles don’t slide over such objects. Instead, they behave the same way they would on normal terrain.

NOTE: Vehicle behavior on normal terrain was NOT changed. When moving on slopes at angles within the range of 27.5 to 32 degrees, traction will decrease from maximum to minimum, respective to the angle (i.e., vehicles will slide). When moving on slopes at angles exceeding 32 degrees, vehicles will completely lose traction with the surface.

Ranked Battles

The mode was updated for the launch of the new annual cycle of Ranked Battles 2021–2022.
Interface improvements were made.

Interface

The vehicle research screen was improved: An option that allows the automatic selling of old modules when purchasing new ones was added. Also, visual module dependency (e.g., for turrets and suspension) was introduced.

Bootcamp

The window for selecting a nation was improved: All nations in the game are now displayed, but, as before, you can only choose a vehicle from three of them.

Some visual changes were made.

Auxiliary windows in the guide were updated.

Conditions of Personal Missions for SPGs

The conditions of some Personal Missions for SPGs were revised due to the rebalancing of SPGs and changes to the HE shell mechanics. More details can be found on the game portal.

  1. The CDC “buff” is just a huge scam cause it doesn’t make any difference

  2. How about some special skills like teleportation? Cloak of invisibility? Manna rejuvenation?
Oops sorry I thought this was a fantasy game

  3. Why not ‘CHARGE ROUNDS’ (a super effective 1 shot in a combined APCR-HEAT ammo that can kill a full HP tank like Type5) when charge bar is full…. LOL!

    1. why not boarding skill for crew…..get the enemy tank to 10% hp…..drive alongside of him….have your crew board it and take control of it?

  4. I want a tank version of the DMC DeLorean. And Warp engines. And a little balcony on my E100 with a garden patch on wich I can grow flowers.
