Historical Reference:
An alternative tank variant developed as part of the CCVM project (Close Combat Medium Vehicle). It envisaged the installation of an improved gun and the replacement of the diesel engine with a gasoline engine. The more powerful engine made it possible to increase armor protection, as a result of which the vehicle received a new hull and turret. However, after testing the prototype, mass production was abandoned.
