Despite setbacks in promoting its guns, Ares, in cooperation with Cadillac Gage, developed another project intended to attract the interest of the U.S. military. It was a simplified version of a light, high-speed combat vehicle with advanced technology and low production cost. The proposed armament included 85 mm and 90 mm Ares guns, including the extended Twilight-2000 gun. However, the “light” vehicle, with a mass of nearly 50 tons, failed to impress either the Army or the Marine Corps.
