Gameplay Tips

Take the high ground (or find your hiding place) and use this vehicle in classic tank-destroying gameplay. Your armor is easily penetrable, so keep a safe distance between yourself and the enemy and let your gun “do the talking.” The Type 5 Ka-To’s best feature is its 105mm gun, which has great penetration, accuracy, and aim time, mounted on a semi-traversable turret with a wide firing arc. Stay away from the frontline, assist the brawlers in their advance, and deliver the finishing blows whenever you get the chance.

  • Keep distance in mind when using this tank.
  • Find the spots with the best visibility. You’re the team’s sniper.
  • Wait for your shots to load, and pick your targets carefully.

  1. Why doesn’t WG add premiums like this to WoT PC? It’s always OP clanwar prizes or weird stuff locked in paid gachas.

    1. because their original developers are all in RU, so WG content creator is stopped and begins to die. That’s why you can see the gap between Lesta and WG. Atm, Mir Tankov is 1.26 while WoT is 1.24.1. You can see various content in Mir Tankov, while World of Tanks just recycle and “re-skin” their old events

      1. WoT console is ran by WG, not Lesta. And while WG’s content pipeline has not fully recovered from the split, Lesta’s has not either. WG seems to be focusing more energy in WoWs instead of WoT.

      2. Lesta never ran WoT until WG bailed out of Belarus.
The only devs Lesta might’ve picked up were the ones who didn’t follow WG out of Belarus.
        Guess they got SerB? xD

Oh, and I’d pay money to have this on PC.

        1. I agree, as long as it’s historical, it should have been added to the tech tree. But for godshake, who the hell gave the idea about simplified the tech tree, removed nearly all lower tiers. From then every new branches always begins from tier V

    2. Rather than a premium, I’d like to see the Ka-To and its 75mm armed predecessor the Na-To as part of a turreted Japanese TD line. Though I’m not entirely sure how to fill the line (the only postwar contender I’m aware of would be a Komatsu B78 IFV prototype that was modified with a 105GSR turret), but hey. The current Japanese casemate TD line has its own fictional vehicles (the Chi-To SP and Ho-Ri 3).

As for in WoT Console, I’m a bit surprised that the 105mm armed Ka-To is going to be Tier 6 rather than Tier 7. That’s a pretty beefy gun for a Tier 6 TD with a turret. Every other TD at that tier with a 100mm or larger gun is a casemate.
