1.5.1 Common Test Patchnotes

It’s live.

1. Session Statistics

Added Session Statistics functionality to give players the option to monitor detailed daily battle statistics. It will be collected for all Random Battles, except for Grand Battles. Session statistics are automatically cleared each day, and all your daily activities are reset. However, you can reset the current statistics yourself and start gathering it again. The data are saved on the server, so Session Statistics will be available in all players’ game clients.

Session Statistics will be available in the Garage, to the left of the Notification Center button.

Using the new functionality players can:

  • View general statistics on income/expenses based on the results of battles played
  • View their performance based on the results of battles played per session (or per day)
  • See how effective they are when playing on various vehicles for the current session
  • View the influence of the current gaming session on the value of the parameters for all time (your game dynamics)
  • Reset the current statistics and start gathering it again
  • Session Statistics gives players the direct access to the Hall of Fame to view more detailed daily statistics

Also, as part of the work on Session Statistics, we slightly reworked the Hall of Fame and added to it:

  • Parameter information for all time
  • Indicators of the impact of current daily statistics on the parameters for all time

2. Maps

With Update 1.5.1, Kharkov returns with significant changes:

  • Battle type: Standard Battle for Tier IV-X vehicles
  • Its size has increased to 1000×1000 meters
  • Changed the location of the bases and rotated the map 45 degrees to give players more space for tactical maneuvers and let them try different tactics
  • The urban area has undergone some changes. The western area of the city outskirts has been completely reworked to ensure more enjoyable gameplay for scouts, medium tanks, as well as TDs.
  • The map has been reworked in the HD-quality.

  1. Finally. People have been asking for ages for Session Statistics… or rather not for WG to hide it. As atm on live it’s hidden in the Hall of Fame menu. And hardly anyone uses it or knows about it.

      1. i prefer to see first a ARMOR INSPECTOR and only after some useless stats…

its 2019 and we still dont have a tool to check tanks profiles but we get a lot of useless stuff developement…

        just..”IN PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE !”

  2. so i assume that AMX 30b remains the same?? They said that buffs are ok and nothing will change in this…and here we can see exactly 0 about it??

Leo PTA…they said that new main ammo will be AP with that less velocity 1300+…and now its APCR?? That means just a flat NERF to its ammo – less velocity

good things about premiums…no p2w threat FOR NOW

    Leo 1 still useless

and that Type 61…really? Slower, nasty camo, worse gun and its armor is almost inexistent anyway…how do you want this tank to perform??

    1. about ruski junks its no point to ask for now…still hope that will come another CT later with another wave of MEDIUMS balance….and 121 will be included…

    2. Type61 has decreased gun dispersion, aim time, shell velocity, dpm, turret traverse … i think it’s worth 0.02 accuracy. And while top speed was nerfed, it seems to have more powerful engine so it may accelerate better or go uphill faster.

    1. Not only that, but without the suspension it’s only 6 degrees, so no gun depression from the side, which is going to be a pain in the ass.

      1. true…
        thats a really nasty one

in fact…it gained -2 on front and back i think but lost 6 on sides…
this looks more like a nerf…

  3. Quite disappointed when it comes to the medium tanks changes. Can’t really feel any difference either for the Leopard 1 or STB-1. They shouldn’t have counter-nerfed them, as now the effective changes are so small that they’re only noticable on paper… Unless that was WGs goal, since now they can point at it and say “it god buffed, what do you want?” :/

  4. People asked for better gun stab for the STB because you can’t hit reliably.
WG gives better gun stab while worsening the accuracy so you can’t hit reliably.

Meanwhile 430U with the pretty much the same accuracy hits targets reliably with a much heavier gun, making these changes rather pointless because they’re unsuitable for mediums; in effect, addressing nothing.

Oh, and let’s not forget the mind-blowingly idiotic decision of reducing top speed while increasing P/W, which used to apply to Light Tanks alone (a decision that is already very stupid because LTs need speed to survive, not just P/W) which is now on mediums.

Why play other classes rather than HTs? Do others offer anything in return for the duties they are expected?

Or Tank Destroyers which currently oversaturate the MM? – Which allows you to deal with the Heavy Tanks frontally?

Anyone from outside can view this is a poor decision: you simply don’t take speed on a tank with no armour or make it inaccurate to begin with.

  5. Leopard 1 – still completely useless shit! Giving it 30 more damage per shell (= now it will roll for 360 instead of 340) and a bit better gun handling buuuuut nerfing:

    – DPM (lol! Leopard 1 has one of the lowest DPMs of all Tier X meds) by increasing reload beyond E50M levels by 2.x fucking seconds.
    – Traverse Speed
    – Backward Speed
    – HP

GG WG WP (so glad I sold this fucking piece of shit)

But….. HOLY MOLY – Leopard PTA looks incredibly strong with these changes!

    Buffing:

    – Damage by 30
    – DPM(!) (Reduced reload of 0.3 secs… and not 2.x seconds like Leopard 1)
    – Aim time
    – Dispersion
    – Turret traverse

    Nerfing:

    – Slightly traverse speed

This thing could really be workable and pretty strong! So I guess, they will nerf it to Oblivion after CT 1

    Like

    1. Oh shit! Didn’t read the last line:

      – nerfing engine power of Leopard PTA by nearly 10%. Wtf?

So, this thing is already barely as fast as an obj 430 – now it will be a bit slower. Nice WG. A sniper that can’t reach sniper positions or flex the map.

      Leave PTA unchanged FFS!!

    2. Yeah, sure, Leo is completely useless. It’s just the best tier 10 TD, but yeah, completely useless. How misinformed are you if you say that DPM was nerfed, when in reality it’s actually buff a little bit? Also dispersion buff during movement from 0.17 to 0.12 (!!!) is not significant? Leo is straight up buffed MASSIVELY.

      Like

      1. How misinformed are you? 0.12 dispersion is like 50% worse than the M48 Pattons 0.08 which has:

        – better armor
        – better viewrange
        – a lot higher DPM (way over 1 second less reload)
        – after the mobility nerf a waaay better traverse speed, even if it is a bit slower i top speed by around 10 kph.

Leopard is shit and will still be shit and with the incredible nerf to PTA, this thing will unfortunately be complete AIDS now.

You either go full russian, or GTFO.

        1. Patton is a close-to-medium range support-brawler medium, kinda like ruski mediums. Leo is long range support-sniper medium, more like a tank destroyer, a tier 10 Charioteer basically. Now let’s do a comparison though:
          – dispersion on hull movement/traverse of Patton vs Leo: 0.10 vs 0.12
-top speed 48 vs 70, reverse speed the same 20
          – 17 hp/ton vs 20
          -penetration 268 vs 278
          – alpha 390 vs 420 and Leo has 105mm of HE penetration with 510 alpha
          – DPM 2922 vs 2852
And obviously Patton has more health and armor, while being very sluggish for a medium and having less camo than Leo.
I’d rather play Leo, tbh. You can snipe, you can get to good early positions, you can spot for yourself and your team and you can actually play aggressively because of buffed gundandling and 420 alpha. After buffs Leo is a much better K-91, really.

  6. So Tanks For Bonds are now two patches late. Also:
    – The 430U nerf was completely cancelled they didn’t even try to just change the way they do it
    – The STA-2 buff was also cancelled, only shell velocity and engine power but no buff to dpm or accuracy or gun handling or anything that actually affects the game, since shell velocity mostly just affects how far ahead you need to preaim which isnt that hard…
    – No mention of the AMX30 in this patch so I assume it also got cancelled or at least delayed
Which means in the end the “medium tank rebalance patch” will contain a whole two (2) medium tank lines reworked from tier 8 onwards (8 vehicles !!!!1).

Also still no info on the IS-4 fix, no news about other rebalances.
2019 being the year of rebalance, so far we’ve had:
    – three tanks destroyed but still broken
    – two lines slightly buffed but still not interesting
    – an arty “nerf” that changed virtually nothing (still get hit every 20 seconds, still get stunned which renders you useless, still can get stunned again just after using your first aid kit because there are more than one arty per game, still get damaged at the same time)
    – no news of a gold ammo rework for a while, which sadly is kind of a good thing since all their original plans meant was that you’d need to fire even more gold to stay as competitive, aka spend more credit, aka even more pay2win, because they dont fix the problem of either broken pen or the ability to spam it

A whole lot of nothing again, as every patch has been this year. The biggest positive change in the game has been the WoT premium account and that’s a paid feature. And Frontlines which is essentially ruined by turning it into a marathon that is slowed down by people who just play the gamemode normally and win/lose too fast. Can’t wait for the Chaffee race with not the original Chaffee on not Port and the removal of team damage while keeping friendly stunning and the ability to push and block allies. A great future awaits WoT…

      1. It’s not about being popular in russia, it’s about being made by russians. I’m sure there are plenty of games that are popular in russia but are still decently balanced because the devs are not biased.

But WoT and WT are made by russians, and AW is published by russians, needless to say patriotism is more important than make the game enjoyable. Especially since I’m pretty sure despite being the cluster with the most players it’s probably not the one with the best ratio of paying customers.

  7. The armour buffs for the STA-2 and Type 61 look pretty decent to me.
STB-1’s armour buffs are a bit random in some parts.
Front of the mantlet got 300mm raw thickness surrounded by some 93mm raw thickness parts so it still gets randomly penned there.

  8. There is one good thing with the alpha increase on Leopard 1 and PTA: now, they will roll for an average damage per shot of around 360-370 instead of 330-340 like before.

I guess we will see a lot more 500+ damage rolls from the 7.5 sec reloading, better armored, better camoflaged and more mobile Object 430U in the future, to balance this german outrage out. Ah! They could buff viewrange on 430U a bit, like 410m or so. That will fix it.

  9. Schwarzpanzer 58 / Panzer 58 FL / Panzer 58 Mutz

amazing the Germans get some buffs rather than more nerfs or deleted from game

I have the Blackpanzer and its biggest problem for me is lack of DPM compared to endless -1MM against T9 wwhich have far superior DPM

the mobility is still a bit like a school bus turning circle etc

in todays ever fast-er paced battles with frankly STUPID FRENCH FERRARIES LT’s doing 95kph how quick your tank turns is more important than before ~ also unless your shells have +1300 mtr velocity you wont hit them ever

mot sure regards the Leopard 1 ‘buffs’ will try it out soon enough
however accuracy sniping power as we all know in WOT means nothing
~ unless your a high tier Russian Tank where 0,45 is actual 0.30 accuracy, and aiming not required just point and shoot.

    Like

    1. Shell velocity means nothing unless you’re trying to hit moving targets really far away (because then the shell arc can make it impossible to preaim because the shell will go over the tank and hit behind).

At short and medium range just preaim more or less depending on how fast the ennemy is moving. The french wheeled LTs are not hard to hit, they’re hard to damage because half of the visual model is the wheels and there’s no tank behind them so most shots do nothing. They’re fast but in a straight line they’re as easy to hit as anything else, and if they try to turn too often they lose the speed advantage over regular LTs with more armor and firepower.

  10. It won’t display WN8 and other cool informations like the mods for session stats so it will be lacking in compare to mods.

    Like

      1. Of course noobs want to hide their embarrassing stats. Every now and again I come across someone with hidden wn8 and always, always when I check them on WoT-life their stats are truly bad…..I mean beyond pathetic..my guess you are one of them.

        Like

        1. Right now you cant hide WN8, if you dont see someone’s stats it’s because their accont is so new it did not have any registered yet. That or XVM is having a stroke like it sometimes has and cannot retrieve the stats of a player during a battle.

Also the biggest complainers about XVM are people with good stats, not “noobs” like you say, because they’re tired of getting focused by the whole enemy team as soon as they’re spotted. That’s litteraly the only reason people want to be able to hide their stats.
The only thing people with normal/bad stats complain about is assholes who think they’re better than everyone because their reroll account spent the past 5k games firing gold in a T67 finds itself in a match with less than 60% win chance so they decide to insult everyone then suicide. And that’s not gonna go away with allowing players to hide stats. Thankfully rerolls are easy to spot so it’s not like their purple wn8 is fooling anyone next to their tomato battle count, unlike actual good players who got skilled over time.

But the fact that you’re not aware of either of those facts tells me you’re not much better than those noobs you’re making fun of.

            Like

      1. This. You can just stay at tier 5 and fire gold at begginers all day and get a purple wn8 in no time, but I don’t think WG’s rating would grow much. Also iirc wn8 is broken for light tanks and does not seem to take spotting into account enough so they overcompensate by making damage worth more.

  11. Why da fk they decided to nerf the engine of leo pt, i mean, no armor, horrible gun handling, almost as big as a jap heavy, shitty soft stats and THEY DECIDED TO NERF THE ENGINE FFS. Wg u had one job, just one… buffing gun stats nothing else, its a fkin leopard but every single med is faster than him-specially soviet ones for unkown reason lol-

  12. Yey. WG is making the Leopard 1 more nimble by nerfing its traverse speed by more than 11%. Way to go. I see these proposed changes and it only confirms that WG won’t ever have any clue on how to balance the game. They don’t know what they want to achieve, let alone how to get there.
No wonder this game is a lost cause. I guess it won’t be this time I return.

    Like

    1. Leo doesn’t beed to be “nimble”, it needs to be fast. And it’s the fastest medium in the game by quite a long shot.

      1. The fastest? Which drugs do you use? Vodka? Its ground resistance values are so shit, that EVERY tier X med accelerates and turns faster than a LEO 1. Try an 430U or even 30B and you will see how agile a tier X med can be! Not to start talking about 140s supreme mobility.

        1. Lmao, Batchat has worse ground resistance than Leo. Batchat is not fast? And also apparently you forgot that Leo goes fucking 70 after buffs.
