Supertest: 60TP Lewandowskiego Initial Stats (tier 10)

Being the topmost vehicle, the 60TP Lewandowskiego has great all-around armor and a large caliber gun dealing 750 points of alpha damage (we’ve implemented both 130mm and 152mm versions and will choose between them later on). The drawbacks of 60TP are mediocre penetration and limited mobility (due to a low specific power of 10–13hp per ton of weight). This tank will play as a compact “superheavy” slowly pushing through enemy defense thanks to its ability to block lots of damage and its high alpha.

            1. I know and that’s a valid point. However, WG’s balance department has made it so that it doesn’t make sense to fire regular HE shells as long as you have enough credits. #skillToWin

              1. I cannot argue with that, neither do I plan to. Regardless, firing regular HE is what I do when playing my own Type 5, switching to the premium variant only when facing the ‘totally not OP’ Russian tonks.
                But I digress, the stats will be most likely changed way before coming close to release.

  1. Since when is 250mm AP “mediocre pen” when it has 750 alpha and 1100 HE alpha? LOL. Keep in mind the E100 has only 248mm AP and it has a turret that gets penned by gold easilly.

    –> is still better than E100 in that regards and has no fucking flat turret that can be penned with every gold shell it meets

    But seriously, 1100 damage per shell? That’s the same as E3/E4 HE. Who needs regular ammo or even gold when you have HE this powerful?

  4. It is victor and slava makarov that decides all because they are two of the most powerfull people in WG. All others are puppets. These changes are too substantial and too common to just be “balancing” misstakes. They balance the game to make more money and currently, having OP tanks and OP armor is what generates most money. If WG wanted to change they would a long time ago. All changes that have been made are for the worse, all changes are made so people should:

    1. convert xp to get new tanks that are better
    2. spam gold ammo
    3. buy tier 8 prems.

    Those players that alreaddy have trained crews and favourite tanks that has been in the game a long time, as well as not wanting to use gold ammo, those players are forgotten, WG don’t care about them despite they are the ones that made WOT as big as it is.

    When I started wot, it was all about who could master the tank the best that would win a fight and those that had best screw skills. There were no other skill boosters, but since then everything has changed. Now days I can get my ass “beaten” by a noob spamming gold, when I play a tank that has 3 moe and 5k games in and 5 skill crew. 4 years back that was not possible as people were not shooting so much gold and hence didn’t have a penetration booster. What more, well back then the level was more equal on tier 8 tanks. Now, a stock IS-M or object 252 with a 75% crew can shit on a 6 skill crew tiger II or vk45a or a T32, add on top of that gold ammo spam if the IS-M and obj 252 use gold ammo. There is no contest, the game is so extremely unbalanced it is not fun.

    1. WoT was always about who drives the most broken tank and shits on noobs. I started in 2011 and tje game was almost unplayable but still we played it. The game overall is much better now than it used to be, it just have a few really big issues that can spoil your fun. I’m honestly really excited about future changes to ammo types. Knowing WG they will probably fuck it up but hey, we can still hope for the best.

      1. Yep, WG realized, how broken and Pay2Win Gold ammo is, no them gonna do some changes in 3 years, and want to introduce Bond ammo, the new pay2win ammo

  5. So this tank has IS-4 armor but is actually sloped and thicker at the front with just worse side armor and straight up more than the E-100 with around the same gun.
    Everytime I go here to TAP I find these two getting beyond beaten to death by powercreep

  7. I never understod why the supertesters always are unable to get the balance right. So much data that they must have colected you would have thought they would learn by now what parameter that would work or not. Tanks should be balanced in relation to other tanks no on their own. Why should we have a tank with better gun and armor than an e100 anyways?

  8. I love how everyone is complaining about the HE pen and damage yet NO ONE HAS EVER COMPLAIN ABOUT THE T110E3 OR T110E4 HE DAMAGE AND PEN! It has 90mm pen and 1100 damage!

  9. well, T110E3 and E4 are TDs and they have 155mm guns. here we are looking at 150mm and for some obscure reason, this one gets more HE damage than E100s 15 cm KwK L/38. and we are talking about 20% difference. yes, the japanese derp is also only 15cm and gets 1100 HE (non-prem), but it does not have any other choices than HE (unlike E100 with 334mm HEAT).

    even more fascinating: Obj 705A has 152mm gun, but only 650 alpha with AP or 840 with HE. because reasons …

    and I am very supiscious about the armor model of the polish tier 10. that turret looks like “no weakpots, because skill suckz” …

    1. On the other hand, have a look at non-derp 105 mm of tier VIIs. Everything has ca. 53 mm of penetration and around 420 (or less) damage per shot. And all of a sudden German 105 on the Jagdpanther gets 60 mm of pen. The same goes for Lowe but it’s tier VIII, but TVP VTU has again only 53 mm. Does anyone see any problems in it. I don’t think so.

      As for no weak spots on the turret. The cupola is 180 mm and the gun mantlet has a 230 mm spot, so I wouldn’t say there are no weak spots. Sure, they’re fairly small, but it’s for sure no 705A type of turret.
