9.21 Patchnotes

– Changes in 0.9.21 vs 0.9.20.1

Main Changes: Improved display of the team list in Grand Battles.

Added the functionality of displaying a preferential group of vehicles in the team list (upon a click on it). Upon pressing TAB, the cursor will be automatically displayed: it will be more convenient to view the full vehicle list by scrolling.

Badges.

Now, the badges are displayed in the team list in all game modes, including:
• Team Battle
• Team Training
• Platoon

Grand Battle: New Map:
Klondike: added the new map of the winter setting (1.4х1.4 km) for Grand Battles. The following battle types are available: Standard Battle, Encounter Battle.

Made terrain-related changes for difficult-to-access areas on the following maps:

      1. The T28 isn’t actually included in that set just yet – it isn’t even available on supertest, from what I’ve heard. Guess it wasn’t quite ready, but I bet we’ll see it by the time common test comes around (supposedly on Thursday of this week).

  1. *sigh* Still no tweaks to the matchmaker’s templates priorities/probabilities…oh well then I’ll extend my longest ever WoT sabbatical into 2018 I guess.

    I find it a sad reality WG pigheadedly refuses to address this ONE issues and the mountain upon mountains of negative feedback the 9.19.1 mm changes up till now generates.

    1. Depends on what you mean by MM tweaks. This patch at least made not just match classes. But sub classes. Like mediums with clip guns etc 3-5-7 don’t work for high tiers, but is ideal for low/mid tiers considering new players. And if it’s skill based you want… well we all know how well that worked for AW. And the issue is that the one issue you want addressed. Has 999 999 different suggestions on how to do it. As hardly anyone do agree on how it should be done. Unlike say arty that most do agree on.

        1. Like I mentioned adjusting the template priorities for t3 to t9. Thus making 3-5-7 less dominant and 5-10 more dominant vs what WG has made now.
          For t10 as well, adjust the template priorities to make single tier/5-10 battles more common again and make 3-5-7 more rare.
          SMM tank mm should be given an extra rule, to weight them to be have a higher chance to be top tier. This would fix the smm issue in the template system and their current balance issues.

          In essence I found the template system released with 9.19 really good! But WG adjusted the priorities in 9.19.1 and tweaked some in hot fixes which gave a worsened gameplay experience compared to the initial release iteration.

          And sbmm…nah. Although I like the rough idea, it has issues to make it effective and function correct…too much hassle for WG.

  2. Well the VK 45.02 (P) Ausf. B change seems a little strange but i guess if you want to use a spall liner it can be usefull.

    And thank god for nerfing the armor of the AT2…
    Hope they wont overdo it.

  3. Because many lower tiers can’t pen it on the side or rear with normal ammo. Lower tiers are fucked, there are some tanks than can’t be penned on any angle. It would be nice to see how they have buffed the armor on the at-15 though hope they haven’t made it totally imune frontaly towards same tier ammo.

  4. Brit TD’s could do with a speed buff. I’m currently grinding the line. Did AT 2 and almost finished AT 8. Firepower and armour seemed okay to me. Just enough to get the job done. But the speed is the limiting factor. You either camp like a retard, waiting for your team to win the battle for you or die, so enemies come to you, or you go full yolo at one flank hoping to find someone to shoot at over there. And if you find too many enemies, well, press that left mouse button and hope to deal as much damage as possible before they kill you. And they will. Speed is the bane of this line. Even going from 20km/h to, say, 25km/h would make a big difference.

  5. They should have penetration closer to 100, like tech tree tanks have, biggest suffer currently with lowest tier 5 penetration, Matilda IV with 86, others are mostly 91/92, could also need a little buff.
