      1. wrong. WG said that MM will match arty, lights, and tds so the difference is never more than 1.

        but they didn’t say anything for making sure the top tier tanks don’t do this.

        it could have put 1 top tier heavy per side. it didn’t.

        nor did it say it would make sure the TD, Light, and arty is of the same tier or so on.

        right now. top tier doesn’t care what class you are. long as theres a lower tier version on the other team it works.

    1. Typical, current state has the issue of one side is HT/MT/TD heavy and the other side is the complete opposite….. that’s not fair MM, is just stronk mechanics…..

      The second they said they were not gonna balance the amount of MTs and HTs in both teams (the total of HT+MT is balanced, not both separately) they pretty much gave away their ultimate fuckup with the new MM.

            1. Read into how MM weight works in WoT.

              Remove the rule of both teams needing to have the same MM weight for arty and LT’s.

              Now add the new MM template into the mix.

              I’m sure you can figure out the result yourself, you nice and smart human being. :)

              1. New MM matches the same amount of tds, arta and lt on both teams, previous mm didnt take into account tds and that caused facerolls. Furthermore Lts dont even matter cause now they can be top tier,since we have t10 now into the game….So yeah im smart enough to understand that this mm is an improvement.Its needless to say you are really thick… you just proved it…..No matter how much i try to explain it to you on how this is better you wont get it.

                1. First of all: the matchmaker doesn’t match the same amount. If you actually read the patchnotes you could’ve read that the MM will create games with a difference of 1 if it can’t get hold of an even amount of vehicles from one of the specific classes. I.e. you get matches where only one team has arty, 1 v 2 arty, etc.

                  They do matter. As MM is now class balanced while not also taking into account base vehicle statistics. So with this new MM you can and will get matches where according to the 3-5-7 format; your team will have 2 t10 lights and an arty. While the enemy has 3 T10 heavies or mediums with a T8 LT and no arty in the lineup.

                  Now you can stick your head in the sand and call me thick headed all you like. This is not the way things should be.

        1. 103B is doing perfectly fine. It’s well balanced, they didn’t “ruin it” they just made it not OP as it first was furing tests.

            1. Is that the T10 one? I always mix them up. If it’s the T10 one, I made 5300 blocked damage with it in my first battle on the test server. TVP, Kranvagn, Grille 15, all bouncing like goatshit on a wooden plank. The only thing that could actually damage me was the arty.

              1. Test server is shit to test anything because people play tanks they don’t have in live server and don’t know how to play.

                Strv103B seems more armored than 103-0, but technicaly the same calibers can overmatch it. LFP and part of the UFP can be overmatched by anything >120mm ; otherwise >150mm on some areas. And by my experience about half the ennemies you meet are aware of that and will pen you without needing 152mm+ guns. And as you said arty hurts ; and with the stun effect it will hurt even more imo because oneshots were not the problem with this tank unlike critical damages.

                  Sorry but this is BS. 103-0 has 40mm almost all over the front bar 2 patches of 60mm. 103B, on the other hand, has 40mm only on LFP and around the gun. Rest is 50mm with similar patches to 103-0.

                  So while you can overmatch 103-0 almost everywhere, 103B has the overmatch zones much smaller. Which is a big plus, because you usually fight these tanks at longer distances, often they’re hulldown (even smaller area to pen on 103B). And if you aim for the 40mm on UFP, there is a big chance you’ll hit the 50/60mm armor, or you’ll hit the gun for 0. Combine that with need to have atleast 122mm gun, most of those big caliber guns don’t have great handling/accuracy, 103B is much better armored.

                  Last but not least, 103B has the HEAT cage and spaced armor on LFP, 103-0 has none. 330 HEAT can almost autopen it, even 250 HEAT has a decent chance if 103-0 won’t angle up and cover LFP.
                  103B can only really be penned by 330 HEAT into LFP (although fairly reliably), and into the very bottom part of it’s HEAT cage/UFP. Huge difference, since lots of T9/T10 120mm and smaller guns fire HEAT as premium.

                  1. You pen the lowerplate of the STRV 103 B with the RU Heat 70% of the time. The heatscirt is a piece of crap. If the enemy shoots heat it is almost autopen always…

And anyone who have their brain cell counts in a healthy number will know what that’s mean: instead of go charge into HTs likely a T95 scrub, go somewhere you likely to fight MTs in face and get hull down. No one, and I mean NO ONE will be able to do any damage to you unless they load HE.

    1. Artillery should be removed. Most retards are still going to play it even it they make it 50 damage per game, but the annoyance is still the same >:(

            1. Artillery is still not doing what it’s supposed to do :D Arties don’t operate alone but in batteries, they don’t sit on the frontline and they don’t shoot at individual tanks…

  2. we want +10-20meter view range buff to lights. ok dont touch their guns for obvious reasons(med dpm >lt dpm)
    also we want arty splash radius to become %50-75 smaller but give them higher xp cred gain from stunning.

      But they should buff them back to CT iteration 1 levels since now they have 0 chance to defend themselves. Even on iteration 1 they had way less DPM than mediums.

    2. Agreed. Love the new 1390 gun handling/reload/pen. But only having 445 view range with souped up crew and vents/optics means everything is out spotting me. Why the hell do scouts need reduced view range? Artillery just needs to go already.

  3. Played a few games in 9.18, mostly arty, here are a few thoughts:

    The game is A LOT more fun… if you’re playing arty! Now arty can shoot you behind corners because of increased splash radius. If a shot does 250 damage on a direct hit on the Super Pershing, now if you hit him behind cover you do 200-250 damage! Eat that arty hating bitches! :))
    Whoever played Erlenberg assault mode, I have some news for you: you can’t cap anymore! I stayed on the other side of the river and got resets of about 200 base capture points because you can’t hide behind that building that you could use as cover before, because of splash radius :)
    I think I got 3 arties in each game I played, apparently it’s the new meta. I wonder what will happen if everyone selects arty and you get a 3 arty per game cap :)
    You loved sidescraping? It’s gone! with the increased splash damage you basically get hit for same damage and same stun duration as a direct hit.
    I played a few games in other tanks, apart from the new arty master race and it seems the new meta is dodging arty. The game looks unplayable, but I had 12 players on each team that were putting up with this shit, so maybe I just don’t have the will to deal with it and I will just have to become a permanent arty player :)
    Another thing about the new patch: they managed to fuck up the battle assistant artillery mod. Yes, you heard that right. Someone did the work for them, but they somehow managed to fuck it up! The whole idea behind the BAAM was to show you why you can’t hit a certain target and make it easier for you to understand the limitations of your position. Now they implemented it like whenever you don’t have a direct line of fire to a tank, you just get a red line to it – fucking useless! It’s like WG hired a bunch of chimps, all at once!

    My only explaination is that Mr. Kislyi wants his game back and that Murazor guy is a bit in his way and needs to be removed.

    1. What if Murazor is only a scapegoat? If I remember correctly he was shitting on WG for a long time so WG hired him to shut him up. I can see them making him the face of the balancing department so he can get shit on now if the balancing is bad like in the last 2-3 patches.

      1. To be honest, I don’t care.
        I just know the stun is Murazor’s idea, and I saw Kislyi saying he will focus on his money maker game, so that might mean getting rid of Murazor.
        For me, I think that this patch is retarded in every way possible and needs to be canceled, along with all the assholes that run this game lately. Possibly keep the new light tanks, but in an acceptable form.

    2) It looks like you whiners are in minority anyway. Which I already assumed – everyone just being vocal, while WG has the data that show that majority of people like the changes. You know, the people you guys don’t care about – but they have to, since they are customers.

    If enough constant spenders do this, WG will get the message.

    As I said during the sandbox test, I won’t play a tank game with ‘stun’. It simply doesn’t belong in the game.
