How is something or anything you say regarding collectors items supposed to have any collectors value if you just release the “valued item” whenever to make some extra cash. Comic companies don’t print 100 special issues numbered that are sought after then keep 500 in reserve to sell in 5 years when they want more cash.
Like I said, maybe I’m just ranting pointlessly but man would I be pissed about this video if I had bought the mutant back in testing.

However, many players would like to add 1 or 2 of these “Superrare” premiums to their collection and I understand that and Wg apparantly agrees. Not every player who started from beta is still playing the game to this day, some care and some dont care that these vehicles will make a re-entry. WG can still decide what to do with it even though you have a vehicle in the garage. They should not have made this bold statement at the time but over a number of years things can change. Anyway, vehicles like the mutant will just be bundled massively with gold and such just like the E25 to push up the price to retain a part of their rarity. In 28k battles over a number of years I have seen the mutant only once just like a few others of these “exclusive” reward tanks. I don’t really see the problem brining some vehicles back for 24 hours but others like you may disagree, only because of a promise or for gloating because you have a rare vehicle?
Suffering, what is there to suffer? It’s a game, not a disease. I understand the possible frustration when a company goes back on it’s word but what can you do? It’s not an antique or something that lasts forever and is worth lots of money, it’s a pixel, a rare one. When the game packs up all the money spent on prem time, gold and tanks is also gone. When that happens are we gonna protest against it and demand to put the plug back in?
They are not obliged. It’s an interview only and not a contract. I think people should really get over it and not post this interview over and over again. And I’m not interessted in the Mutant, but I’m happpy when others might have a chance to add it to their garage for a high price.
Incorrect. In the USA, when you make an offer to sell something with stated conditions and take money from customers for said item, that’s a legally binding contract. WG can roll the dice on Beta testers not caring about the Mutant being sold 6 years later, but that won’t change the legal facts and won’t excuse their actions about going back on their word to early players. Personally, if they do this, I think it’s both dumb customer relations AND risking a breach of contract suit.
Finally the one tank I have been waiting for since I started, my hydro was put for sale so what let people pay a lot of money, I think most tanks should be allowed for sale, just give you guys special camo, extra XP or credits.
Mutant and Type59 simply won’t work now. There is gold-for-credits and a bunch regular or premium tanks that are waaaay more powerful, just to mention Defenders/Libertes/Patriots line.
5 years ago an average tier 7 could only watch while Type59 was raping him. Now it loads APCR/HEAT and the advantage is gone.
Mutant will be a nice collectors tank though, but I would’t buy it for credit printing purpose, because it will be a disapointment.
