        1. You do realise that OE was highly constrained by right? Yes OE did not do a great job and should have put their foot down to start with but check the facts please.

  1. Well, to me one thing they’ve done right is PvE, but other than that…..I really doubt some of their decisions and development of the game. TBH, I see this more as a good news.

    We’ll see how this goes.

(Also, how long have I not post anything here? 9 months I think?

    1. Pfff PvE is a joke.We made a million suggestions in the forums on how it could become more engaging and fun but they ignored pretty much every single one. They simply increased the number of enemies (per difficulty) and changed their spawn locations.

As for their other decisions, know that much of it wasn’t even their call. As much as i dislike OE, i have to blame the publisher for the most part. I bet it was them the ones who didn’t allow OE to do certain things or give them the freedom they needed.

That’s obvious if you visited the forums when it all started. Back then we were talking directly to the devs and we got positive feedback for pretty much all our suggestions or criticism. After a while we lost contact with the devs and “moderation” started taking place. It’s then i think when the publisher said “you’re not allowed to listen to them, you’ll do as we say”. It’s then when the game started becoming garbage.

    2. good news? what we have now is a game struggling to distinguish itself from WoT, afterall most wanted something different but PVE is far from enough
at least for now we could understand that they have ben trying everything to improve the game but it all comes to an end that might seriously hurt the game as a whole
lets be honest, if wants to increase the volume of players and keep the game “alive” they can make the simplest decision any russian company would think off, increase the russian bias (at this moment I don’t know any claim of BIAS regarding any of the nations) because that would make it easier for the russian community, of course they would play a game where they can use soviet and russian tanks and dominate the battlefield

I seriously think this decision is too dangerous because IF they don’t succed in attracting more players with the inital changes they might “fall” to their “last”/”least-effort-consuming” otpion

  2. I was trying the Public test Server last two nights…..the experience was bad, they try to slow the gameplay to a level that’s WoT pre 7.0. OE overdo so much things that is not necessary. They could have rip everything from WoT then reskin and get rid of arty, in that case everyone will at least give it a try.

This game’s current issue is lack of new content, poor high tier balancing and tier to tier difference is too great. PTS ends up make low tiers dominate by ATGM spammers, content wise is still scheduled to come after the balance 2.0, and lower tiers fighting higher tiers is still struggling.

Unless do well in advertising, PvP for this game is not going to do well.

This could be end up only Russians are playing, because Armata and T-90MS become Crankvagn/T57H which clips the fuck out of everyone else : )

    1. Advertisement isn’t going to matter at all. Even if they do MASSIVE advertisement (which they won’t), nobody will want to play long-term. Yes there will be a sudden influx of players but after they’ll get a taste they’ll simply uninstall it. Pretty much what happened so far.

      1. I was hoping they can be another Niche Thunder…but both the quantity of the content and quality of the game as a whole is a mess.

I still don’t know why traitor SS joins them.

  3. everyone i met said that armored warfare was made by americans. i always said that a russian company hired an american company to create a tank game, so it was always russian. and now the russians took full control. im so happy that i was right all along.

    1. haha my thought exactly :D
obsidian is leaving the sinking ship and that is actually a good thing!
4 years in production and still lack of new tanks… why should i grind then?

Of course you muppets are happy, you won’t have to work on that crap anymore!

And this is how Armored Warfare turned into Harmored Welfare.

    1. I know right? has been pulling the strings every which way with insane development decisions.

And now OE has the opportunity to pull out.
I can hear the champagne bottles popping from here.

    1. There was one thing great that WoT absolutely lacks: multi-weapon system on tanks, and fast pew pew autocannons.

In all fairness to wot, multi-weapon on WWII tanks would only mean allowing a handful of tanks to have extremely inefficient weapons for their respective tiers (even the low velocity 75 on the B1 would be worthless at tier4),and wot does have autocannons, but they feel atrocious to use.
      AW’s autocannons feel great.

But that’s enough enough to keep one interested.

      1. While I would love an IS-3 or T32 with a similar auto cannon as AW, we both know that it will not happen. The best we can get is the autoloaders, plus Luchs/Leopard shenanigans which can actually be fun:)

  5. AW was a complete failure because the game SUCKED. I quit after round 100 games. I had no fun at all playing the game.

    1. The graphics were SHIT. WOTs looks far better than AW. Its not even close.

    2. AW had no nation tech trees or any rhyme or reason how u progressed. It was confusing and really STUPID.

    3. The crew training, equipment, and upgrades along with the UI were cumbersome, confusing, convoluted and MUCH worse than WOTs in every area.

    4. Most importantly, AW had little to no feel when u played. Driving, shooting, angling, it just had no feel. WOTs is far superior in this, the most important characteristic of the game. WOTs just feels so fantastic and WOWS feels even better.

I wanted AW to succeed, but it was just a bad game from the start. Instead of making a clone with modern tanks, AW tried to reinvent the wheel and failed in every area. Evem thought it was on a more modern engine it even looked so mush worse than WOTs. I dont think AW was better than WOTs in any area and they should just shut it down and be done with it.

  6. What I liked about the game was the emphasis on light forces and if Obsidian had the chance to develop the character and story elements that would have been different. Oh well, there’s been little reason too play for awhile but at least this game got WG to get off its ass and rest less on their past achievements. Too bad though for the folks who nailed their colors to the AW mast.
