WoWS – New Map, French cruisers in early access, Arms Race in the Public Test, changes to submarines, and other news — Closed test 0.11.4

Let’s take a look at some upcoming new features.

New map — Faroe Islands

A new map, the theme of which — Faroe Islands — was voted by players back in autumn 2021, is now in its final stages of development. We plan to test it during the Public Test for Update 0.11.5 and fully release it when that update goes live.

WoWS: Account Transfer to Another Region

Source: EU Support

We have implemented the ability to transfer game accounts to a different region. Now, players who have moved to a country in another region or have initially registered and played on a server outside of their region can change the server and continue to enjoy the game.

To transfer your account, fill in a Player Support application, then provide proof of your actual location in another region and identification data.

Such a transfer is a complicated technical operation with a number of limitations. Only World of Warships game accounts can be transferred. You can view all the account transfer specifics below.

Here are the results of our Support aircraft carriers concept test.

Last week we announced the beginning of concept testing for support aircraft carriers equipped with stun bombs and special consumables. Now we are ready to share a summary of our first experience testing these new mechanics.

Stun Bombs

The main purpose of these new squadrons in the initial concept was to help allies damage enemy ships with fires and floods, as well as to block enemy consumable uses.

WoWS: Support Carriers Closed Conceptual Test

A closed concept test for Support carriers will be held in the near future.

Support aircraft carriers would enter the game as alternative tech tree branches to the existing Strike carriers.

They are distinguished from Strike carriers by the special armament and consumables of their squadrons.

As with existing carriers, Support carriers would be deployed at even-number Tiers starting from Tier VI, and both varieties will have equal status in the matchmaking queue.

All Support carriers are equipped with squadrons armed with special “stun” bombs.
