WoT NA – The German Duo: Skorpion & VK 168.01 (P)

If you don’t have the Rheinmetall Skorpion, don’t miss this chance to add one of the most feared tank destroyers to your Garage. At Tier VIII, the German tank-buster is a Frankenstein monster: A Panther chassis with excellent mobility topped by a fully rotatable turret with a Tier IX cannon featuring high accuracy and formidable penetration. Plus, they don’t come any cooler-looking than this — just glancing at the muzzle brake is enough to make one wince. Identical to the Rheinmetall Skorpion G, except this version is it’s unskinned — so you can customize it’s exterior any way you like.

The VK 168.01 (P) — also known as the “unskinned Mauerbrecher” — is classified as a “super-heavy” tank…and one look at this behemoth and it’s easy to see why. The vehicle has great all-around armor, high HP, and a punishing cannon. Sure, it’s on the slow size, and its otherwise ultra-thick armor has a few soft spots (Commander’s cupola, lower frontal plate, machine-gun port), but for sheer survivability and head-on-brawling, the VK 168.01 (P) fits the bill. Unlike the Mauerbrecher, however, the (P) model has a customizable exterior!

You can grab both vehicles in a special “Unskinned German Duo” bundle, or each one individually in several different bundles packed with goodies. Oh, one last thing. Both of these bad boys are Tier VIII, meaning they can participate in Frontline — Episode 5 started June 17 (funny how that happens)!

WoT NA – Arty in name only: BT-7 artillery

“I wonder,” you ask yourself, “What Tier III light tank has the highest DPM in the game?”

Why, the answer is today’s special offer: The BT-7 artillery (also known as the “BT-7A”). It also has the highest Standard Shell Damage rating of all vehicles of it’s Tier and class.

A Soviet speedster armed with a stubby 76 mm cannon, it can destroy most Tier II enemies with one shot and severely damage those at Tier III. It’s excellent acceleration, respectable top speed, and good maneuverability allow it to slip past enemies and and hit their vulnerable spots. As with most light tanks, its thin armor is a drawback.

And, yes, “artillery” is in the vehicle’s name, but it’s classified as a light tank.

WoT EU – Titanic Tank: the TOG II*

Commanders!

Just like the Titanic, the TOG II* was majestically huge, but also quite a let down. Developed for trench warfare and after the events of World War I, this vehicle was finally ready… in 1943. 10 metres in size and 80 tons of steel, which were pretty much useless at the time. Fortunately enough, the TOG II* made it to World of Tanks, and it’s one of the most fun vehicles you can bring to the field. With a massive HP pool, very large ammo capacity and a fast-firing gun, you’re here to stay on the field!

World of Tanks – minor update on June 18th

On June 18 we will roll out a minor update. Game servers and clan portal will be unavailable from 6:00 to 6:45 (MSK).

What will be fixed?

  • Problem with tank  markers (icons above the machines) being moved in the opposite direction when moving the camera.
  • A problem due to which, in the “Front line” mode, the reconnaissance aircraft “recon flight” continued to transmit intelligence after the expiration date, if it was activated at the time of the player’s destruction.

WoT EU – Spaghetti vs. American Western
