WoT: Premium Tanks 10-13% Price Decrease (Tier VI–VIII Premiums)

Source: EU Portal

The World of Tanks 10th Anniversary celebration is reaching its conclusion, Commanders!

The 10th Anniversary of World of Tanks is truly a unique event and a grand milestone for our game. We’ve been preparing for it for a long time, so we tried to surprise you with a feast of special Time Warps, engaging Anniversary Missions, and sweet prizes. But the celebration is still ongoing, and now we have a really exciting offer for all commanders!

In recognition of the game’s 10th Anniversary, on August 12, we’ll permanently reduce prices on all Tier VI–VIII Premium vehicles by 10%! Check out the new prices in the table below. Moreover, we’ll also apply the same permanent price reduction to all new Tier VI–VIII Premium tanks we aim to release in the future.

The able with new prices is available here: https://worldoftanks.eu/en/news/general-news/premium-tanks-prices-decrease/

You can purchase discounted vehicles both in the game client and in the Premium Shop*.

Prices in the Premium Shop may vary slightly due to differences in exchange rates in different countries.

The price reduction is based on the vehicle’s cost in gold. We will round numbers down so that prices are always in favor of the players. As a result of this rounding, the final discount value may vary from 10% to 13%.

Example:

Vehicle Old Price (in gold) New Price (in gold)
Pudel 3,650  3,200
The discount for this tank will be 12.3%.

WoWS ST 0.9.8, new ships

British cruiser Belfast ’43, Tier VIII

Belfast 1943 represents the Town-class light cruiser as she would have appeared in the year 1943. Her model differs from the one of cruiser “Belfast” in having a higher number of dual purpose guns and AA mounts, a slightly different superstructure geometry, and a Fighter catapult. The ship is equipped with twelve 152 mm guns with powerful HE shells, a torpedo armament with the ability to launch individual torpedoes, decent concealment, a “Short-Burst Smoke Generator” consumable, and a “Surveillance Radar” consumable with the 9 km ship detection range.

Thanks to her good concealment and “Surveillance Radar” consumable, Belfast ’43 can help allies in fighting for caps and hunting for destroyers. Her special Smoke Generator – with its shorter reload and smoke screen dispersion times – will be useful when there is a need to retreat, but it doesn’t allow to effectively fire at targets from inside the smoke.

American battleship Oklahoma, Tier V

WoWS ST 0.9.8, World of Warships birthday, dockyard

Please note that all information in the development blog is preliminary and subject to change during testing. Any showcased features may or may not end up on the main server.

Update 0.9.8 kicks off an event dedicated to the 5-year anniversary of World of Warships!

One of the main features of the update is the new temporary battle type with an uneven distribution of ships per team – Asymmetric battle. One team will consist of a small number of Tier VII-VIII ships, and another one will consist of a greater number of Tier V-VI ships. You’ll be able to freely enter battles on Tier V-VI ships, but to participate in the Asymmetric Battle on a Tier VII-VIII ship you’ll need a new temporary resource – battle tokens – which are received by playing this battle type.

A new permanent campaign “Five ages of navy” and a collection of the same name await players. Elements of the collection can be obtained only from the “Five ages of navy” containers. These containers are obtained by completing tasks and missions of the campaign.

Supertest: German and Chinese Medium Tanks Rebalancing

We are continuing our rebalancing of high-tier vehicles. Now it’s time for the German and Chinese medium tanks.

Of the two German Tier X MTs, the E-50M is the more protected and durable one. Due to its frontal armor, the vehicle is somewhat like a heavy tank. Nevertheless, the thickness of the turret’s frontal armor plate is insufficient to repel shots from high-tier opponents. We plan on improving the protection of this area by increasing the thickness of the turret’s effective armor from 197 to 266 mm.

Other vehicles of the branch will be improved as well:

  • E50:

Increased the effective armor of the turret’s frontal armor plate from 197 to 220 mm

10,5 cm Kw.K. L/52 Ausf. gun

Increased the penetration value of a standard shell from 220 to 230 mm

8,8 cm Kw.K. L/100 gun

Increased the damage value from 240 to 280 HP

  • Panther II:

8,8 cm Kw.K. L/100 gun

Increased the damage value from 240 to 280 HP

  • Panther 8.8:

Increased the damage value from 240 to 280 HP

The Chinese medium tank branch will receive a wide array of improvements to a number of technical characteristics affecting both survivability and firepower. These changes should make these vehicles more competitive compared to other, newer tanks.

  • 121:
