WoT Ranked Battles 2021/2022 – Possible Reward Speculation

As you probably know from the full 1.14 patchnotes, there is already a mention of 3 seasons of Ranked Battles in a 10×10 format. We are waiting for the first season this fall, and the other two in 2022. But the most interesting thing is this quote from the official description:

“For completing each of the three seasons, you will be able to receive a special style for Tier X vehicles, and at the end of the 2021–2022 seasons, valuable rewards and a unique Tier X vehicle.”

Now it remains to decide what kind of tank it is. But there are few candidates, only 3 (2):

• 114 SP2 (🇨🇳China, TD-10, promotional);
• Object 268 variant 5 (USSR, TD-10, promotional);
• Object 780 (USSR, HT-10, promotional).

🇨🇳114 SP2 – since 1.13 (the last patch) it is being tested by supertesters, and also in 1.13 this tank was given to them. The price in gold was added and the tags: “Secret” and “Testable” were removed. Thus, the tank is completely ready for release.

Object 268 variant 5 – “reserve tank”, which has been in storage for several years. In 2016, it went to ST (Ob. 268 5), with patch 0.9.15 the tank was tested by supertesters. With the release of WOT patch 1.11 (December 2020), supertesters and devs started testing the Obj. again, but after that absolutely NO changes followed. It was rumored that we would see it on the Black Market in 2021, but this did not happen, therefore, most likely, the release was again postponed. By its tags at the moment, this tank is not yet ready for release.

Object 780 – we don’t even take this tank into account, because it went under another event and had some features related to the 10th anniversary of WoT (which was not removed yet from the model). It has not gone through any extra tests for a long time (last time was in 2020).

There are simply no more candidates for tier X.

Thus, with a 95% probability for the upcoming ranked battles, according to our colleagues at wotclue, the main prize will be the Chinese promotional TD – 🇨🇳114 SP2.

Stealth Buff to Artillery, WOT PC, Worldwide

UPDATE: more clarified here:

PS: I have received this piece of information from a source that was reliable in the past. Still, take it with a grain of salt.

A few days ago I received some non-official information, that Wargaming has been stealth-buffing artillery characteristics without making a public announcement to the playerbase.

My contact told me, that artillery underperformed drastically, and tweaks were applied to the tanks or the ammunition (At this point, the contact did not mention precisely what got changed).

The result of those tweaks can be observed on websites that display the gun marks requirements.

Suddenly, after the micropatch was applied 2 days ago, the performance of every arty above tier 3 started to rise significantly (still not to the old level before the massive patch).

The department of Wargaming that studies the live servers (not the Supertest or test servers) had the alarm bells ringing. And has therefore decided to a emergency buff of artillery performance, to counteract player and monetary losses.

The statistics can be seen on sites like tomato.gg that show the gun mark requirements.

I also noticed, that skill4ltu also got a hint of this phenomenon and published a video about this topic on 15.07.2021.

WoT Top of the Tree: T-100 LT

From EU Portal.

Speed is the name of the game this month, as the latest Top of the Tree special will race you down the path of nimble Soviet light tanks—all the way to the X T-100 LT . As always, there are great discounts, missions, and bonuses that will shoot you up the tiers as fast as these tanks zoom around the battlefield.

Once you’ve climbed to the highest tier of the ladder, you’ll be greeted by one of the finest light tanks Soviet designers ever put to paper. The T-100 LT sadly never made it beyond the prototype phase, but its relatively low profile, impressive speed, and 100 mm gun has made it worthy of a spot in World of Tanks. Its fantastic power-to-weight ratio and top speed of 72 km/h make it an ideal active scout and a handy ally. A fun and versatile machine, it’ll let you carefully take shots at enemies or fight your way out of tough spots with a well-balanced gun and fairly bouncy armor. Dash into the perfect positions, avoid diving into heated firefights, and start making your shots count.

Crew 2.0: Join the New Sandbox Test!

Source: EU portal

With your help, we tested Crew 2.0 on the Sandbox server several months ago. At the time, we received a huge number of questions and comments. After testing ended, we carefully analyzed all your feedback and the statistics we obtained, with particular attention paid to the most controversial aspects that sparked the hottest discussions.

We now invite you to take part in a new Sandbox test and assess the revised Crew 2.0 concept! The test begins on July 20, and each of you will have an opportunity to try out the new ideas and solutions that emerged from your feedback on the first iteration. Join the test, play, and share your impressions—together, we’ll determine the future of the new crew in World of Tanks!

Sandbox
Crew 2.0 Second Iteration

July 20 at 14:00 CEST (UTC+2) through July 26 at 08:00 CEST (UTC+2)

Crew 2.0: What’s Changed?

Let’s take a look at the main changes to Crew 2.0 compared to the first test and see how we dealt with the biggest issues of the previous iteration.

  • During the first test, players thought that a detailed comparison would show that actual combat performance of the new crew was worse than that of the old crew. We have added the bonus effects of all old skills to the new system and combined them in such a way that a new crew of a certain progress level will never be worse than the old crew.

Thus, after conversion, players will receive a crew that is in no way worse (and often even better) than its old counterpart in terms of combat performance.

  • When converting a crew, the system will automatically invest points in the skills of the Training Plan that correspond to the old skills.

A quick reminder: After conversion in the previous system, a player had to distribute Skill Points on their own, investing them in various skills of the Training Plan. Now, the system will do this work for you so that you can jump into battle faster. After conversion, you’ll receive a crew that corresponds to the previous one in terms of the total effects. If you have a few free Points after skill distribution in the new system, you can invest them at your discretion and thereby further strengthen your new crew.
