We want to inform you about an upcoming change to how in-game resources work between World of Tanks and World of Warplanes.
If you only play one game, nothing changes for you.
The shared economy between the two games will be split. Gold and Free Experience will no longer be shared across World of Tanks and World of Warplanes, and each game will operate with its own independent economy.
Why Are We Making This Change?
Over the years, World of Tanks and World of Warplanes have evolved in different directions, with distinct progression, balance, and reward systems. The shared economy was introduced when the games were much closer in structure, but as they have grown, maintaining separate economies allows each title to continue developing in a healthy and fair way.
What Does This Mean for You?
If you only play one game, nothing changes for you. Your account and existing progress remain safe.
If you play both games:
- After the maintenance for World of Warplanes update 2.1.38 on March 10, 2026, all Gold and Free Experience present on player accounts will remain unchanged in World of Tanks, and you will also receive the same amount in World of Warplanes as Crowns and Free XP.
- You will continue using your resources normally within each respective game. This results in two independent balances, one for each game.

You made it sound like they got thousands of gold from there, and not from boxes. Outside of a rare event, you got like 50 gold here and there from a few missions.
Free XP on the other hand? I’ve gotten 100K or so for the past year alone from WOWP events

If I understood it correctly the amounts become duplicate, if i now have 20k gold and 1m freexp, after update i will have the same on both accounts, yet i will be able to spent them separately. Thats not a bad deal, guess ill unlock some high tier planes, have fun for an hour and uninstall the game for good.
When I was looking for something new and unusual, I immediately turned my attention to https://w88club.in/, and I can say that this casino from India really was a breath of fresh air for me and really gave me a lot of variety because it has a wide selection of different games for every taste and preference.
Always hoped to see increasing connections between WoT/Wp/Ws (WarThunder does it the way I wanted to see here), and I used to like the gold bundles with “free planes”, feeling like getting twice the stuff for the normal price of gold (which was spent in WoT). This will just result in me not spending anything on any of the 3 WG games. WG prefers €x0 over €/2, it seems (for virtual “goods”).

So they gonna kill of World of Warplanes in the end. It’s kinda obvious that a publisher going to kill of a game when they don’t give a fuck about giving out premium currency basically for free.
For example: imagine someone have 300k gold or just 25k gold sitting on their WoT account, but not spending a dime on WoWp. Now you will have separately 300k-25k gold on your WoWp account and you can spend it while on your WoT account that 300k-25k gold is safe… Not to mention if you hoarded a shitload of freeXP, you can unlock whole trees in WoWp now. That’s basically free content for the ppl which would cost a shitload of time and money.
I think they did it for a purpose. I don’t believe WG doesn’t know how it’ll end. I don’t believe they’re so stvpid

But yea, it makes sense since (on RU region specially) WoWP was used for milking resources for WoT.
Yeah … I had 120 supply boxes collected over the years, got 10k gold and 200+k free xp.
