WoT Supertest: Coccodrillo

Coccodrillo (variant 1)

The Coccodrillo is a Tier X Italian support medium tank with an unusual layout and protection scheme. Its turret and hull front armor plates are not very thick, but they are well-angled.

Its mobility is decent though not outstanding (50 km/h top forward speed, 18 km/h reverse speed). The main surprise lies in the firepower: a 127 mm gun with an autoreloading mechanism that causes 470 HP of damage per shot and has a 2.5 s aiming time, and a three-shell clip.

This version of the autoreloader features the same reload time for each shell but a rather long delay between shots. This lets you deliver three shots with high DPM (similar to the Minotauro). At the same time, you can use any of the three shells for cyclic-like shooting—the DPM will stay the same, unlike with other Italian autoreloaders. And just like the Progetto 65, you don’t have to wait for a full magazine reload.

Coccodrillo (variant 2)

The second variant of this tank has identical stats in every aspect except for the autoreloader specifics of use. Here, it features an improved autoreloading mechanic (like Italian heavy tanks, with some tweaks). This system gives you a significant boost to reload time for the next shell if you fire at the right moment.

This second version doesn’t significantly change your playstyle but adds more depth. With its enhanced autoreloader, you can also mix in an irregular, semi-cyclic fire pattern, cutting down reloads between shots when timed well.

  1. The new italian brainrot ai generated tank arrived to WoT XD they do not even try anymore xddddd

    1. It just means “Crocodile” in Italian. Someone has watched too much Italian brainrot by the looks of it

      1. Truth to be told, I feel pretty dumb now. Thanks for correcting me. Still sound funny to me 😀

  2. Variant 2, improved autoreloader.

Mino is just exception since he has 5 shells, and not fully rotate turret.

More shells like progetto 65? No sense since he has normal autoreloader with 4 shells.

It could be 4 shells with imp. autoload, like progetto 66 (the ix tier of rhino line) but i think it will fit more in XI tier heavy after rhino then, than the X medium.

so 3 its ok. Btw the playstyle of rhino is closer to better armored medium tank, or at least on 2nd line for heavys but still.

This one will be something between rhino and p65.

    *edit
Rn im asking myself, why not make it a proper X tier between them.
A standalone one, from p66. like the 277 from is7, but w/o Viii and IX tier. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

    *edit2

Dont forget that weve TORO with imp. autload and 4 shells on IX tier.

So looking at the italian tech tree, it will fit still between p65 and rhino, but it should outcome from proto standard b (ix tier of p65), since he has also 3 shells.

    1. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks the Rhino plays more like a Heavium.

I get flamed so often for going with the MTs, but I don’t hear shit when my thick ass bulls through the other team. I honestly think it plays wayyy better as a MT.

  3. The constant DPM whether firing in bands or one-on-one is a groundbreaking feature block blast, making the Coccodrillo much more versatile than other Italian autoreloaders.
