Scrapped Crew Perk

• While there surely must be more than one, only this one was found in the client.
• Gunner perk – Woodhunter – looks like it kinda gives a very weak effect similar to CVS.
• Also, its icon is… interesting.

Original Tier 10 TDs Unused Gun Models (Update 0.7.5)

• All tier 10 TDs released in update 0.7.5 (Obj. 268, Jg.Pz. E 100, E3, E4 & Foch 155) include 1-3 unused gun models.

source

• Obj. 268
– Least interesting of the bunch, with 152 mm BL-10.

source

• Foch (120)
– Even way back then, it was already planned with a 120 mm gun in mind.
– Then came 9.15 Sandbox with Foch (Auto) and eventually, years later in 2018, Foch B.

source

• T110E3, 105 mm T5E1
– Includes three familiar American guns:

• 120 mm M58 (gun from T110E5/T57 Heavy)

• 105 mm M68 (from M48 Patton)
– The 120 mm M58 might look familiar, as it was actually used on T110E3 during one iteration of 9.15 Sandbox.
– Even some official artwork depicts it with this gun.

• T110E4
– Even bigger than E3, with the same three guns:
• 105 mm T5E1
• 120 mm M58
• 105 mm M68

source

• Jg.Pz. E 100

• Its three guns are somewhat hard to recognize at first, but I’m pretty sure they are:
– 12.8 cm KwK 44 L/55

source

– 12.8 cm Pak 44/2 L/61
– Unused 15 cm KwK 45 L/67
• References to 15 cm L/67 were found in text files of version 0.7.5, alongside three shells with indexes higher than any other German 150 mm shell.

• How do I know this particular gun model belongs to L/67?
 - Proof comes from technical names of release Jg.Pz. E 100 shells.
 - Curiously, all three shell names first spell the full name of the gun (which wasn’t common practice) and then the exact technical names of 15 cm L/67 shells.
 - Despite actual in-game names having different indexes (apart from HE) and different prefix, due to PzGr 45 being APCR.

• For comparison, here’s how naming system for some 10.5 cm guns looked like – shell names contain neither gun name nor incorrect index:
 - 10.5 cm Pak 46 L/68 & 10.5 cm L/100 cameo.

• Coming back to 15 cm L/67 for the last time, in scripts of 0.7.5 I found leftover shell stats:
 - Alpha damage: 850 / 850 / 1100 (AP / APCR / HE)
 - Notably, no German 150 mm gun ever had 850 alpha standard shells or 1100 HE, or AP/APCR (instead of AP/HEAT).

• So while there was no earlier evidence to bind these shells to 15 cm L/67, considering their unique stats and lack of other scrapped 15 cm guns, it’s fair to assume they were meant for it.

Additional Context
• An official image from 2011 shows the extended German tree with one peculiar change on the left.

• With this context, the three scrapped guns actually make perfect sense, as they were meant for a Tier 9 tank, not Tier 10.

• Jg.Pz. E 100 we got is what it is, but it’s fascinating to think we were this close to a superheavy Tier 9 TD with 850 alpha.

  1. So the E 10, the Sturmpanzer IV Brummbar, the Sturmtiger and the captured vehicles (BT-7 and T-34) were always planned to be implemented

    1. E-10 would be even more disgusting and broken than E-25 and ELC 90 is today.
Sturmtiger line would be trollishly awesome though.
Also, if I am not mistaken, we still have not seen the Neubaufahrzeug in the game, which is kid of strange..

      1. The Neubaufahrzeug would be perfect for the well-deserved reward, but what tier would it be? Would it have the same double-fire mechanics as the MTLS?

  2. Brummbär, Sturmtiger, and e10 would have been cool, but Wargaming doesn’t want that kind of thing. They’d rather bring more fantasy-unicorn-tanks into the game and milk the herd.

    1. Because they did try to add them once. Then Strom played them when they were far into development. One shotted a Maus and told them to rebalance it. They never figured out how to make it fun, but not useless or OP for it’s tier considering the ammo. Tho that was years before the event with the tank.

Tho since then many have said you could just balance it to be like a 152mm etc. But then it would be no different vs what we have tbh
