WoT Arcade Cabinet: Darkness of the Night Returns!

LakevilleNight descends again upon several maps, filling them with nocturnal sounds and bringing special gameplay rules! From July 5 through July 7, choose Arcade Cabinet: Darkness of the Night in the mode selector and fight in the shadows. Also, vehicle radios work much better this time, and it’s raining on Fjords—so you can feel pensive, melancholic, or happy (if you’re only happy when it rains).

What’s New

  • You’ll see a new map shrouded in darkness: an extra special version of Fjords. Along with dimmed lighting, it features something you’ve yet to see in the game: rain. Some say the nøkken, Norwegian water spirits, may be involved. The precipitation does not affect the gameplay but adds to the mood. And while the rain is heavy, it won’t impact the performance of your system significantly.
  • We listened to your feedback and decided to remove the Jamming modifier. Cutting the signal range in half often led to night combat being split into separate “operational theaters.” Fighting in a corner of a map, you were sometimes totally unaware of what was happening in the opposite corner. This will no longer be the case.

Maps

Besides the newly-added Fjords with rainy weather, the traditional set of maps is ready for your night-prowling. It includes Glacier with lifelike northern lights, Sand River with a pre-dawn glimmer in the sky, and Lakeville with glowing streetlamps.

Rules

  • You can play in any Tier VIII or Tier X vehicle.
  • Battles are 15v15 and single-tiered.
  • Battles in the mode do not count toward your stats.
  • Platoons are available, and all Platoon bonuses apply.
  • You cannot complete missions except those created specifically for the mode.
  • Credits and XP can be earned.
  • Battle Pass Points and bonds cannot be earned.
  • All types of Reserves (Personal and Clan) can be used.
  • XP multipliers for the first victory of the day do apply.
  • Credits are added to the Credit Reserve.
  • Gold is not added to the Gold Reserve.

Battle Modifiers

Tinted Optics
View range is decreased by 35%.
Faded Camo
The maximum time a vehicle remains spotted is decreased to six seconds.
Vague Horizon
The maximum rendering distance for vehicles is decreased to 465 m. You are not able to see vehicles that are farther than 465 m away from you, even if they are spotted by an ally, but you might still damage them if you’re lucky.
Flash in the Night
The penalty to concealment after firing is increased ×10. Vehicles are easier to spot after firing in the dark, so don’t forget about muzzle flash!
Rewards

Sneaky maneuvers in the dark are fun, plus you’ll find a chain of missions per each of the two launches of Arcade Cabinet: Darkness of the Night. You can earn up to 800 bonds in total.

Get ready for dancing in the rain and optional night swimming, Commanders!

  1. Fjords is too dark to see anything and there’s no rain effect.
If these get added to the game hopefully they;ll be optional.
