🇸🇪AKV 151 [Sweden, SPG-9]
Historical Reference:
In the mid-1950s, development began on the promising EMIL tank, which was later renamed Krv (Kranvagn). Based on this chassis, it was decided to create a self-propelled gun, later designated as AKV-151, jointly developed by Landsverk (chassis) and Bofors (gun system).
Due to the prolonged development of the artillery component by Bofors, the AKV-151 prototype only appeared in 1960, four years later than the Krv. During its development, the Krv chassis was reversed, relocating the driver’s position. The chassis received an upgraded suspension and rear-mounted idlers, allowing the turret to be installed at the rear of the vehicle. The magazine-fed gun system enabled an increased rate of fire. Since the Krv program was canceled by 1960, the AKV-151 chassis had no future, and as a result, the project did not receive further development.

No Chinese artillery as an alternative to an Ikea closet. Wallet warrior bias.
While Wargaming makes many mistakes and often doesn’t listen to the players/community, I’m still glad they’re NOT adding a new artillery piece to the game.
P.S. I know, never say never…
