The release date for Update 2.1.1: mid-January 2026.
With the release of Update 2.0, the game received 16 Tier XI vehicles. They redefined high-tier gameplay, and this direction continues to evolve. Update 2.1.1, scheduled for mid-January 2026, will mark a new chapter in the game’s development. Commanders will get two new Tier XI vehicles, a new branch of American medium tanks featuring innovative automatic gun mechanics, and a rebalance of six Tier XI vehicles aimed at improving their ability to fulfill their intended battlefield roles.
Thus, the following additions await us:
• [MT] New U.S. medium tank sub-branch (Tier VIII–XI) Ares 90 C
• [TD] WZ-113G FT to PTZ-78
• [HT] Type 71 to STK-2
A reminder: a Tier XI vehicle is the gameplay successor of its branch and its Tier X predecessor.
You can also pre-farm 325,000 XP on the needed Tier X to unlock the Tier XI immediately once the update releases.
New additions to the U.S. Tech Tree.
The game will receive a new branch of American medium tanks. It will start from the T20 at Tier VII and end at Tier XI. The main vehicle will be the Ares 90 C. Like its predecessors, it is equipped with a next-generation automatic cannon featuring a heat dissipation system. This is not just another gun type; it is an entirely new approach to firing in World of Tanks.
Fire without worrying about reload time, but watch the heat: the hotter the gun becomes, the worse its accuracy gets. If the gun overheats, it will jam until it fully cools down. These tanks have also inherited the secondary track mechanic from the Yoh line, allowing them to stay mobile even under enemy fire.
You can pre-farm roughly 105,000 XP on the Tier VII MT T20.
Two new Tier XI titans.
The roster of Tier XI vehicles continues to grow. Introducing the PTZ-78, a Chinese tank destroyer equipped with advanced solid-fuel boosters that allow faster acceleration, improved turning and rapid reorientation for repositioning in battle.
Next comes the STK-2, a Japanese heavy tank with an enhanced active gun cooling system. Firing heats up the barrel. The higher the temperature, the more its characteristics change. After each shot, during the reload cycle, the gun begins to cool down and return to its base stats, enabling more accurate firing. The updated mechanics provide greater control and flexibility in combat.
Rebalancing Tier XI vehicles.
We carefully monitor the combat performance of all Tier XI vehicles and listen closely to player feedback. In the upcoming Update 2.1.1, the characteristics of six previously added Tier XI machines will be changed: Leopard 120 Verbessert, AS-XX 40 t, Object 432U, Hirschkäfer, CS-67 Szakal and Strv 107-12. These vehicles will become more comfortable, more balanced and more effective in battle.
All six listed Tier XI tanks will be buffed.

Hurray, tier 11 JGSDF heavy incoming.
Please. Stop. With. The. Jet. Booster. Tanks.
Give us North Korean versions of T-54s/55s, T-62s, etc. instead, and just put them in the Chinese tree.
