We rarely cover new vehicles appearing in the console version of the game, only when they overlap with World of Tanks PC. This time, it’s not about a new tank, but one that was planned since the very beginning of the game’s development.
T31 Demolition Tank (🇺🇸USA, MT-6, Premium) first appeared in one of the early versions of the American tech tree. The tank was originally rocket-armed and appeared alongside the RBT-5, 🇲🇫Pz.Kpfw. 38H 735 (f) mit 28/32, and 🇩🇪Sturmtiger. This was part of the earliest tree concept, which didn’t yet include Tier X vehicles. And now, for the first time, it has appeared in the console version of the game.
Unfortunately, due to the limitations of rocket weaponry at the time, accuracy was extremely poor, giving such vehicles a very low chance of hitting targets, and the same applies to the 🇺🇸T31 in the game. Although classified as a medium tank, it features an artillery-style aiming system, two paired guns, and an auto-loading system for 5 rockets. In sniper mode, rockets can be fired one by one, while in artillery mode, all five are launched simultaneously with a large spread. As a result, the tank exists more as a novelty, though its inclusion is still a fun and nostalgic nod.
Interestingly, its turret is used on the 🇲🇫B-C CS 59 from the Arcade Mode, but mounted on the 🇲🇫Bat.-Châtillon 155 58 chassis.
The chances of this tank appearing on PC are virtually 0%, though it could’ve been a nice gift or loot box tank for fun.

Kinda cool to see this tank finally make it into the game, even if it’s missing the rockets — real nostalgia for long-time players. Too bad the chances of it ever showing up on PC are basically zero. Would’ve been a fun collector’s tank or some kind of special event reward. Still, nice to see WG digging up these old concepts instead of letting them fade away.
