WOT Express: New British Heavy Tank Branch for World of Tanks in 2025

After the release of the premium tank Great Britain with the new mechanics of double-barreled guns, it was only a matter of time before a full-fledged sub-branch would be tested.

Learn more about the mechanics of guns with a choice of firing mode.
— Compared to other twin-barrel tanks, here a double-barrel shot is made only after changing the fire mode by pressing the X button. After switching to the mode, if both guns are loaded, you can make a salvo. But several fire characteristics and the maximum forward speed are also reduced. You can also switch to the single-barrel shooting mode by pressing the X button. In this case, both guns are loaded regardless of the mode you are in. That is, when shooting single shells, the second shell is loaded in parallel and you can make a double-barrel salvo after changing the mode. During the mode change, there is a unique animation on the gun barrels.

Transition.
Since there was no full announcement, it is not known for sure which tank exactly the transition will start from. The full composition of the tank sub-branch is also unknown. At the very least, it can be said that the vehicles will be present starting from Tier 7. And we will also remind you of the outrageous case this year, when WG cut 2 starting tanks from the Czechoslovakia sub-branch even after the official reveal! The situation may repeat itself.

Compound.
• Tier 6 ??: ?? (Great Britain, Tier -6, techtree).
• Tier 7: Tank (Great Britain, Tier -7, techtree).
• Tier 8: Tank (Great Britain, Tier -8, techtree).
• Tier 9: Tank (Great Britain, Tier -9, techtree).
• Tier 10: FV230 Canopener (Great Britain, Tier -10, techtree).

• Tier 8: FV226 Contradictious (Great Britain, Tier-8, premium).
• N lvl: Premium tank (Great Britain, Tier-N, premium/promotional).

There may be a little more vehicles than we described. The exact number will be known over time.

The release is scheduled for early 2025. This is not the last branch for next year.

  1. Sorry but British tanks are shit so I see no reason why these won’t be shit too. As a British man and competitive player this saddens me.

    1. Conq is still great, manticore is the best scout, chieftain is still one of the best heavytanks in the game, fv4005 speaks for itsself, fv215b 183 speaks for itsself, concept is real fun imo, cobra is british, tortoise, caliban, GSOR 1008. These are only the good ones to come to my mind right now, UK is sitting pretty, fun and good. Why do you say this anyways.

  2. There has not been a good techtree line since Japanese tank destroyers. I hope this new line will break the trend.

    1. Exact, there is no need for new gimmicky mechanics. If they would just make normal and statwise good meds and heavies… That also applies for premiums and reward tanks… I hate also in real life people who make excuses, are afraid to make decisions, are passive just to not make fails… WG and their balance or marketing compartment are exact like that… They should move on, BZs are now rare, chief and 279 are less played…

  3. Could be Su-152 Taran, SU 203 and ISU 203 heavy tank destroyer, Object 435 (Object 430+T62 smoothbore gun) or T62 smoothbore gun (all tier 10 Soviet obsolete 320 as alfa) could be Object 770 heavy tank, could be Object 278 (Object 277+ gas turbine engine version), could be SU 7 – 305 mm gun Soviet arty, WG could come up with the Object 263 + 180 mm gun version which is the gun of Object 261 (the WG historian said it can be mounted on it) this is a better JagdE100 counter pair, could be Sturmtiger and Bar German heavy tanks destroyers, Object 167T (gas turbine T62 version)

    Enjoy!

    Instead, invent as much fantasy crap as possible and enjoy the FOMO of many brain dead people paying for the 5-minute 5-15 simulator!

  4. “when WG cut 2 starting tanks from the Czechoslovakia sub-branch even after the official reveal!”

    I’m still mad about this. Hate all these small tier 8-10 lines

  5. I’m really curious how did they come to the conclusion that the branch will start at tier 6/7 (the picture and the article are contradictious). Maybe from the tanks’ tag number? Although we don’t have data on the Canopener’s tag number yet

      1. A couple of places:
        1) in your replay folder – I have the replay “20241025_0012_france-F88_AMX_13_105_112_eiffel_tower_ctf”, which means that AMX 13 105 has the 88th French tag;

        2) on the Tankopedia – the URL for 13 105 on the EU Tankopedia is https://worldoftanks.eu/en/tankopedia/17217-F88_AMX_13_105/, so again – it’s the 88th French one;

        3) before the tank is added to the live server, the “leaks” screenshots give it away; you can look at the name of some modules. I couldn’t find a recent article that has these raw names for EU tanks (here’s an old one: https://thearmoredpatrol.com/2022/11/26/wot-bz-58-2-detailed-stats/ – when you go to the modules, you can see that BZ-58-2 is Chinese tank #59 ); here is one recent for RU region – https://thearmoredpatrol.com/2024/10/21/wot-ru-1-30-common-test-erich-konzept-i-detailed-stats-historical-reference/ , so clearly Erich Konzept I will be the 165th German tank on RU region (though could be the same on EU/NA/Asia).

        I hope this helped 🙂

  6. How about WG that’s, just quit making pseudo tank fps.
    I joined for the fun of playing historical, semi- historical and the odd paper tank, not to have inbred morons from east Eu coming up with their wet dreams Mario Karts tanks.
