After testing on the Lesta servers staged loot boxes will also appear in WoT. First, this loot box mechanic will be tested in China, and in 2025, it is planned to be released for all other regions. If, by any chance, Wargaming (WG) receives strong negative feedback (though we doubt it, you’ll likely accept it), the introduction might be canceled in 2025!
The launch of these staged loot boxes will occur in the Chinese region (CN) as soon as next week(!). These loot boxes will contain a large number of vehicles, and to collect all the tanks, the loot boxes will be divided into staged rewards. Accordingly, in the first stage, only Tier 8 vehicles will drop, and after obtaining the Tier 8 premium tanks, Tier 9 vehicles will start to drop, followed by Tier 10 vehicles. Due to the large number of vehicles, the guaranteed drop rate for a tank will be increased to 75 boxes.
That’s a brief overview. However, unlike Lesta, WG’s staged loot boxes will be more lenient.
The list of vehicles is impressive. It includes both new tanks and old fan-favorites that many players are eager to get their hands on.

Yes, the Chieftain Mk. 6 is not new for the Chinese region. However, it is owned by a very limited number of players who received it before the release of WoT version 1.0. And after all these years, it will officially be available again. Unfortunately, our predictions regarding this tank did not apply to the EU region, but that’s for now.

Doesnt make any sense, so all the tier 8s and 9s are premium then suddenly when you get a tier 10 tank from the boxes its not premium and it doesnt make credits? Getting non premiums from lootboxes, or buying them makes absolutely no sense.

It absolutely makes sense. The Chieftain is a monster, the WT-12 is a fallen Legend and the Gothic Warrior haven’t recieved the nerfs of the TechTree VZ55.
What doesn’t makes sense is this sentence: “Due to the large number of vehicles, the guaranteed drop rate for a tank will be increased to 75 boxes.”
So because there is a lot more tanks you might not want you only guaranteed to get one in every 75 boxes. That I think will not go with the EU economy. It would mean even if you have all the previously available vehicles you’ll have to pop open at least 525 boxes to get all the good stuff while last year it was enought to pop 250 while there was a price increase too.

The overall drop rate for a tank is not influenced by the number of possible tanks. It just means it will taken longer to get all the tanks. But increasing the gurantueed drop to 75 boxes is just to stretch it even more and make more money.

Putting all of the most broken tier 8 premiums in loot boxes is just disgrace.
The cucks weren’t making enough money even with normal lootboxes, hence the matryoshka ones becoming international.
Im glad I only use 1 playstyle, so when loot box schenanigans appear on the horizons im safe from FOMO plague. WG releases maybe 1-2 tanks of my playstyle like every other year.
