Spring into the action with Update 1.20.1, Commanders! It features the improved crew perk system and a new branch of Japanese tank destroyers. On top of that, this update introduces the Season of the Crimson Griffin in Onslaught, as well as a special monthly subscription: WoT Plus. You’ll also be able to experience random events and dynamic cover in Recon Mission, which will come later in May. Recon Mission: Random Events and Dynamic Cover
Random events and dynamic cover are parts of the Recon Mission mode, which will kick off in May. Each of these brand-new mechanics offers you a fresh gameplay experience and opens up new tactical opportunities on the battlefield.
We’re continuing to work on a comprehensive rework of the crew system in World of Tanks. Now all perks are available immediately once you start training them. The major qualification level now affects almost all perks (excluding Brothers in Arms). The higher it is, the stronger the perk effect.
There will no longer be an XP penalty when you finish a battle with injured crew members. Additionally, we’ve made crew interfaces clearer. Enjoy!
New Branch: Japanese Tank Destroyers
Six menacing Japanese tank destroyers are ready to head into battle! All vehicles boast high-caliber guns that cause good damage per shot. Massive yet maneuverable, these Japanese TDs are designed to support the team from the second line of fire or assist heavy tanks on the front line. Take them for a spin to strike fear—and damage—into your opponents!

Onslaught, our competitive mode, returns with the Season of the Crimson Griffin and special status rewards! It brings several gameplay improvements, including the following:

WOT PLUS
We’re excited to introduce WoT Plus, a monthly subscription that offers exclusive benefits to enhance your gameplay experience and provide you with new opportunities. With WoT Plus, you’ll enjoy distinct conveniences that will enhance your time on the battlefield, such as training crew members without even entering a battle, gold income, one more slot for map exclusion, and other handy bonuses!
After activating WoT Plus, you’ll find in your Garage the TS-54, a Premium American heavy tank featuring a double-barreled gun! This powerful vehicle will remain on your account as long as WoT Plus is active.
WoT Plus will be available in the Premium Shop.
BATTLE PASS COLLECTION
Battle Pass Season X features the exciting backstories of the Season’s heroes. This story is told through the descriptions of various in-game goodies (e.g., crew members, progressive and 2D styles, and decals) that you collect as Base and Improved Rewards. These items are the Elements of the Collection feature. Simply progress in Battle Pass as usual to complete it!
Assembling the current Season’s Collection will earn you extra Battle Pass Tokens (up to three in Season X). If you don’t manage to complete the Collection in this current Season, you will be able to do so in the following Seasons by purchasing the missing elements with Battle Pass Points.
Premium Account
Players with WoT Premium Account will be credited an additional 24 hours of Premium Account time to make up for the update maintenance period. If you’d like to make any in-game purchases, please wait until the servers are running again.
