World or Warplanes to be closed in the CIS region

The game World of Warplanes will be closed for the CIS area on December 13, 2022.

“Since the launch of World of Warplanes, we have made every effort to ensure that your time spent in the game is rich, exciting, and interesting.

Unfortunately, we have to inform you that the World of Warplanes CIS server will be stopped. We have scheduled this outage for 180 days, namely on December 13, 2022.

Also, from today, June 15, 2022, purchases in the World of Warplanes premium store and on Steam will be disabled for CIS server players. At the same time, until the final shutdown of the CIS game server, you can continue to use the in-game values common to other WG projects (game gold, game premium account, free experience) at your discretion, and also play without additional restrictions.

We are very grateful to all the players who joined us both at the launch of the game and just yesterday. The thoughts and ideas of each of you, all your passion for flying were invaluable on this journey, they inspired and continue to inspire us to develop World of Warplanes.

Details of the possible transfer of the World of Warplanes in-game account from the CIS server to the EU server will be announced later, stay tuned.

Thank you for being with us all these years,

World of Warplanes Team.”

  1. So you’re telling me that a game that was being developed in Kyiv, will soon no longer be available in Russia? What a surprise.
