WoT – Clan Updates: Old Tags and New Maps

Source: EU Portal

Clans have been an essential part of World of Tanks since the early days of the game. Millions of players have banded together under one banner to conquer the Global Map, fight in tournaments, defend their Stronghold, or simply team up with like-minded tank commanders and have a good time. Forming your own community is easy, and everyone with 1,000,000 credits can create a clan with a unique clan tag, name, and logo. However, keeping a clan alive is difficult, and many who have tried have had to abandon their efforts for one reason or another. In the past, clan tags once used could not be reused, even after a clan was dissolved. This left a lot of great clan tags in no man’s land. Many new clan commanders have requested to revive an old tag, but we were never able to free them up—until now!

Are you not part of a clan yet? Start your search for like-minded commanders today!

Freeing Up Old Clan Tags

The reset will take place on November 29 at 07:00 CET (UTC+1).

For the first time on the EU server, we will clear the void of old clan tags. This means that over 25,000 previously unavailable tags will be up for grabs. Gems like HAPPY, SWORD, EXIT, GETUP, WP, PIXEL, SUGAR, VOICE, MOON, EXTRA, X-RAY, LOVER, or FREAK will be back in the rotation and can be claimed by anyone by either creating a new clan or changing an existing clan tag for 2,500 gold.

If you’ve been thinking about a new tag for your community, this is your chance. Download the list of possible tags and see if the one you desire will become available. But be quick! You cannot reserve a tag, and once it is claimed, it might never be available again.
