This is how the medals you can get for completing the mission in the mode called “Recon Mission” look.

Explorer
– Complete all missions during the first stage of the recon mission.

Colonist
– Complete all missions during the second stage of the recon mission.

Cartographer
– Complete all missions during the third stage of the recon mission.
