Update 1.12.1 Is Here! + Patchnotes

Update 1.12.1 for World of Tanks is here, Commanders!

Now you can select the default state of hull lock in Sniper mode for tank destroyers and other tanks with limited turret/gun traverse angles. To enable the free movement of crosshairs, untick the box in the corresponding menu. Plus, you’ll be able to switch hull lock on or off in Sniper mode right in battle by using the “X” key. We’ve also added new sounds for the manual activation/deactivation of hull lock.

Matchmaking Improvements: Novice Queue

We’ve improved the matchmaker to make it easier for novices to grasp the basics of World of Tanks and adapt to the game. The matchmaker will create a separate queue for novices in low-tier (I–V) matches so that they can improve in more comfortable and less competitive battles.

The matchmaker will aim to create battles only with novices on both teams. But if there are not enough new players to create 2 full and equal teams, the matchmaker will try to assemble a Random Battle by adding regular players or, rarely, when there’s low population on the server during early/late hours, AI-controlled vehicles. You will instantly be able to distinguish all AI players via the ellipsis (“…”) in the player list interface. Their presence in battle will be completely transparent, and they will only be added in novice battles involving vehicles between Tiers I–V.

    1. Nowhere because Minsk cannot be fixed, but WG cannot remove it either because it’s their home ground and they cannot admit it’s a bad map.

        1. Berlin is not bad, and while awful Minsk is imho better than Fisherman’s Bay.

Paris and Ensk though? One is a hot turd, the other should be limited to low tiers only.

    2. They definitely have a lot of map changes and new maps in the works since we keep getting supertest updates on them (including Minsk). My guess is that they will dump all of them in patch 1.13 but who knows, perhaps their plan is to include all the map changes into the future 2.0 patch along with a reworked crew 2.0 and arty changes (I really hope HE changes don’t happen).

  1. This late spring “challenge” has my attention, I hope it’s the Skota T 56 and the czech heavy line.

That’s about it though, this patch adds virtually nothing.

        1. Yeah, a decent Czech heavy premium would be nice. Even better if it was the first premium to allow for that line’s gimmick of choosing between a viable single shot or autoloader but I realize that’s asking for a lot.

          1. Won’t it be the Rhm 07? After all, that tank is now ready for release, and I don’t think they will sell it just like that. These days, they mostly bring new Tier VIII either via marathons or as part of Christmas lootboxes. I guess they make more money that way.

        2. Yeah having that t8 amx30 variant as a premium while its t9 and t10 cousins are relegated to the trash bin called “collector’s tanks” would be an insult to all the amx30(B) lovers out there lol

  2. man i bet “me leaving WOT to please some random fag on the internet that told me to leave cause im a boomer and that i seem to care about his feelings” that the weabo tank is a joke

    1. Oh you again
      Ok boomer
So you’ll really leave if it’s real? Great! Just don’t go back on your word. Don’t be a millennial ;3
(The last two characters are supposed to signify a wink and a kitty face, in case you need help with that, old man)

P.S. Nice nickname, mr. I Am A Victim (or is it you, Obi Wan?)

P.P.S. At least have the spine to use your in-game handle

      1. 5000 xXxXx´s to get a "cool" nick in front of my nick and behind my nick and in the middle of my nick... says:

So much wasted time and energy to spit on persons u dont know in the internet.. wow. Grow up..

      2. Why should he use his ingame nick? So you can insult him more in the game! JHC what a dipstick.
In the words of my generation “Up yours”.
