WoT ASIA -Botting Ban Wave Results – Mar 2021

To improve your game experience, here are the actions we’ve taken on the Asia server in the last month to keep our game fair and clean:

  • 315 accounts permanently banned for botting

Please be aware that using bots is prohibited in our Game Rules:

5.07 Using bots, clickers, macros, keyboard and mouse recorders, or any other similar methods that enables gameplay without the participation or with passive participation of the player within the battle.

Players who use bots (programs that imitate user actions in the game), clicker apps, and other similar methods of imitating user activity are violating the Game Rules. Having found such a violation, Player Support specialists will block the violator from accessing the game immediately.

The full list of banned accounts is as follows.

1 – 7 Feb 2021 (79 accounts)
8 – 14 Feb 2021 (110 accounts)
15 – 21 Feb 2021 (125 accounts)
22 – 28 Feb 2021 (1 account)

IMPORTANT!

  • Reports submitted via the Player Support page are being processed individually by our team and will not be reflected in the list of banned accounts shown on this page. Please rest assured that all rule violations will be dealt with appropriately in due course.
  • Accounts identified as victims of phishing that got used for botting may also have been removed from this list. To prevent this from happening to you, please remember not to click on any unfamiliar/malicious links sent to you. If you have accidentally accessed such websites, be sure to run a virus scan on your computer and change your passwords for both your Wargaming.net ID and associated email account. Stay vigilant!

  1. Chinese players should only be allowed to play on the Chinese server. If they’re banned there, well, that’s that for World of Tanks for them.

  2. From the above list they should just ban any player with a * in their name easy init.

  3. Judging by the names the majority of those accounts have they were most likely made by using a script and by one person or a coordinated group. They mass generate accounts then bot them up tech tree lines that lead to the 10’s that are currently meta and/or popular. Some will even be boosted for midground stats and reward tanks. They are then sold online. It’s ridiculaous the amounts of money idiots will pay for a 279e or 260 smh. :sadge:

  4. ironic how they are managing the shameful task of an average 300+ bans per month, yet ignored and denied the issue for YEARS.

if those 300 bot accounts are running at the quiet times, that’s the majority of the server.

  5. Just reported 3 bots in 2 days. 2 were spgs and they were undeniably bots. They were the last 2 surviving in the team and were pointing their guns at each other after the last player controlled friendly tank was destroyed ( I assume the were using each other as cue) and not responding to anything otherwise. The other was a typical base camping bot that only moved its turret while stationary when an enemy was detected (but not if shot at by an invisible tank),
