Black Market 2021: Rule Number 8

[NEW!] Rule Number 8: Don’t get greedy, and you’ll get the sweetest treat on the street!

Surprise, guys—there’s also going to be an open auction this year! The rules are simple:

  • I put one lot up for auction with a minimum fixed price in one currency (either credits or gold) and a limited number of offers (for example, X pieces).
  • You won’t know the bids of other players, so just make a bid that you’re willing to pay. After placing a bid, the amount will be deducted from your account. Just like in the closed auction, we won’t keep the amount you spent if you lose the bid.
  • When the number of bids per lot exceeds X+1, you’ll see the competitive bid. Decide for yourself if you’re ready to fork out the money for this lot. A tip from me? If you really want to get a chance to win this auction, then put your money where your mouth is and exceed the competitive bid. But no hard feelings, mate, it’s the Black Market, and we make no solid promises here. You know, someone can always come forward and outbid you…
  • The competitive bid is calculated based on the highest X bids and is updated every 10 minutes. The last update is 10 minutes before the end of the auction.
  • Change your bid as many times as you like.
  • At the end of the auction, all bids are frozen. You’ll no longer be able to change your bid.
  • The players whose bids are in the top X positions win.
  • The winners receive the desired lot, and all other participants’ bids are refunded, fair and square.

    1. But we know that WoT people are serious and absoluttely not interested in taking out all our money so they look for the most serious and fair bidden system…

  1. Wow, this is some bullshit! They won’t show the minimum winning bid, but instead show “Competitive bid”, which is “calculated based on the highest X bids”. So it will be some average number of all winning bids probably, because if it was the lowest bid, there would not be a need to calculate anything, just give us the number.

They are doing this in such a shady, not fully transparent way, that it’s clear as day, they want people to not understand this. They want people to think that it will be the minimum winning bid and that they need to bid more than that. So, well played WG, you outdid yourself, GG!

  2. How long will the bidding be open?

Till the next acution like 12 hours?

  3. Two things here:
    1) They get the most possible income by letting people know, the overall bid level, so of course a lot of players will bid a lot higher than they initially decided, thus the final income for WG will be miles higher than with the usual system.
    2) In this way they make you sit by the computer for many hours during the night, if you want to get the tank not overpaying for it several times.

I call it greed in the highest possible form.

  4. The issue here for me is that they will show the top end price. There will be people with lots of gold/credits who will post high bids without care and the average “competitive bid” they’ll show us will reflect that and not the average or the min bid. This will drive the prices through the roof for sure so I don’t this. If they did this and posted the “average” bids then I wouldn’t mind.

  5. they haven’t announced rule 8 on Asia servers, so i guess this is what they consider a breach of some countries laws down here.
