  • Deck slopes armor thickness reduced from 35 to 25 mm;
  • Citadel armored deck slopes armor thickness reduced from 35 to 25 mm;
  • Citadel torpedo bulkhead armor thickness reduced from 60 to 50 mm.
  • Internal 40 mm casemate bulkhead armor was removed.

Italian Battleship Lepanto, Tier IX

  • Main armor belt armor thickness reduced from 380 to 350 mm;
  • Deck slopes armor thickness reduced from 35 to 25 mm;
  • Citadel armored deck slopes armor thickness reduced from 35 to 25 mm;
  • Citadel torpedo bulkhead armor thickness reduced from 60 to 50 mm.
  • Internal 40 mm casemate bulkhead armor was removed.

Italian Battleship Cristoforo Colombo, Tier X:

  • Main armor belt armor thickness reduced from 400 to 375 mm;
  • Deck slopes armor thickness reduced from 40 to 25 mm;
  • Citadel armored deck slopes armor thickness reduced from 40 to 25 mm;
  • Citadel torpedo bulkhead armor thickness reduced from 70 to 50 mm.

With their current armor, hitting the citadel of Marco Polo, Lepanto and Cristoforo Colombo is very difficult. We want this remain the feature of mainly German and some French ships. It’s also important for us that enemy battleships have the ability to deal heavy damage to the majority of ships of the same type, in case they make a mistake and turn broadside. Thus, we made the citadel protection of these Italians approximately on the same level as of Montana and Yamato.

We’ll keep an eye on how the changes will affect the efficiency of these battleships and will recalculate the HP and change the draught of these ships in future test iterations if deemed necessary.
